Lothar Matty boy.

A fantastic CM in a switched 4231 CDM position, not only sweeping the ball up with high level passing, tackling, and interceptions makes a fantastic CDM and CM.

Shooting is a great for a CDM but is not massively clinical in the box but volleys and outside the box power shots are certainly above average and if not a advantage over your opponent.

After trying tonnes of icon and non-icon cdms (Petit, Makelele, Keane, rttf Kondogbia) the only one that was consistently amazing was Kante. So i thought, what if i had two Kantes? I believe i have finally found his german counterpart. I started with 5 at the back and moved Matthaus to cdm in a 4-2-3-1.

Pace:

With a shadow on he has 99 acceleration, and you can really feel it. You can cover so much distance in a short period of time that kante and lothar can intercept every ball and get to every player

Shooting:

He has only scored 1 goal for me, but that dosen't mean to say his shooting is bad. I have tried a few long shots with him and they felt very very good. He forced a goal line clearance, some amazing saves and he hit the bar from long shots.

Passing:

Absolutely amazing! He rarely misses a pass and is great at the long balls straight through the defence which have just the right weight. He is great for chance creation and link-up play and has some amazing assists.

Dribbling:

You can tell his dribbling, agility and balance is low in game. Although with his acceleration you can just run pass the defenders with ease. His dribbling isn't bad, just adequate.

Defending:

He has made some tackles that i didn't expect him to make. He is a lot like kante in the way he somehow gets the ball each time no matter who you're up against. His positional awareness and interceptions are also first class.

Physical:

Mixed bag; he isn't the tallest nor the strongest so he can lose some challenges but his very high aggression makes up for it. His stamina is also good (nothing to worry about). His height isn't an issue for me as i rarely find cdms battleing for headers.

Overall he is a taller kante with much better passing and he links to everyone. He is also much more of an attacking threat.

July is the best period to test new players and infact after completing EOE Robben and FB Vidal I decide to build up a past and present Bayern Munich (i'm not a fan for this specific club, I'm only a neutral fan of ALL the great teams and players).

So I found this player for 300k and i put with 10 chem as a CB in a 3 1 4 2 formation. In game I keep this unusual scheme and swap FUT Birthday Alaba as CB and put Lothar into the central spot as CDM. I do this because this guy is a median in disguise: if you see on this site he got 93 rating as CDM with basic chem. That means you can put away the defending position and use his skills to create a phenomenal midfield in par with other taller players (I use in this particular formation mid Ballack and FB vIdal that form a fantastic trio).

In game he performs well, very well. He does something unique (at least for me, so far): after the starting kick he presses the opponent with a ferocity that I never see on this game before (and I try Kante, Gattuso and other players like them). half of the time he just win the tackle, take the ball and run for 40 meters for key passage to one of my strikers. Or he can try to shoot, and when he does he always scares the keeper. I score a few bangers with him and have also some assist, but as I write before this guy is incredible for the key passages before the final assist. Image to have a Kante that can not only win the ball possession or disrup the oppenent play, but that can also pinpoint pass, run ball on the feet, shoot rockets and take free kicks.

For 300k is a bergain, considering that is very similar to hid mid version that cost double.

Highly reccomend if you like to have in your team a seventy-one-kilos-weight-tractor
