As probably a few others out here, I struggled to choose either Chamberlain or that speedy Portoguese winger. I went with Chamberlain bc I usually don't use subs and didn't want to build a decent French Squad. So Ox had his chance to shine in my main squad as a strong link to Mo Salah on RW.
I start with a 4-3-3 and in game I switch either to a 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-2-2, Ox plays in def mid with Battaglia. Chem-Style: Sentinel
First, I didn't expect him to score or assist hundreds of goals from where I play with him and well... he didn't. No surprise so far.
I now played 10 games with this tiny bulldog and he scored 0 and assisted 2 goals. But here's why I'm even trying to review this lad:
In every single match he was able to fill the gaps my mindless offensive players left behind and stole countless balls in the midfield. Thanks to his passing, he often plays the second last pass. Well of course sometimes you can find him somewhere near the corner flag while the ball is on the other side of the pitch, but that only shows that he's literally everywhere. thanks to his pace he can easily catch up with most CAMs and CMs (no 90+ strikers) and strongly disturbs them during the construction of the game. During this 10 games he had more impact to my game than Battaglia who was (and is) very decent for me.
He's probably a good offensive midfielder too, but especially in PL there are so many good and better competitors that I haven't used him there.
conclusion: If you're looking for a well rounded midfielder and can't really really really use Martins, here it is, and best part, he costs you 0 coins (unlike those lousy Futmas SBCs...)
