I packed him in a PL Upgrade SBC.
I was very happy to pack a TOTY and one of my favourite reallife player, it was my first TOTY ever. I was absolutely Happy to pack the best GK in FIFA 20.
Then I played him this weekend league for the first time. After 16 games I was watching for another GK.
He is the worst GK i have ever played.
He is not able to do "standard" saves.
He runs out of the goal and past the ball (2 times in 16 games).
Enemy corner, he runs out to catch the ball, but he jumps past the ball and the corner was a direct corner goal.
I played a lot of GK before. Ter Stegen, Lehmann, Alisson gold etc.

This is my first review and it is because this card is one of the weirdest ones I have ever witnessed. When I got him in an untradeable pack, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was so happy because not only did I receive a TOTY player, I also received what is supposed to be the best GK. Therefore with the expectation to never conceive a goal anymore I could not have been more disappointed. This card is so bad, it puts bronze GKs to shame. He basically couldn't stop any shots - even if they were right onto him it was a safe goal. When there was a cross he'd run outside and just try to punch it but failed so many times so that my opponent had no trouble to score with no GK in the goal. At his first released he had stats of overall 1 and that is how he feels ingame. EA might have forgotten to change that, who knows. Anyway since I got him in untradeable I decided to just play with him no matter what because how often does one get the chance to play with a TOTY card? Suprinsingly after having conceived 5 goals in a match he becomes the wall he is supposed to be, so you better have a really good attack. Having a GK this bad will end up in improving your defending skills because you just have to, so there's that. After basically having lost 20 matches due to him I decided to try some other chemistry styles than basic because it just couldn't get any worse anyway. Then it finally worked!!! Cat is the Chemistry Style he needs or at least that's what has worked for mine. He now is the insane wall that I expected him to be.

- No Reactions at all, sometimes he seems to not even care
- Diving was the only thing that he was able to do but it was either under the ball or way too early when he came out of his goal
- If he was going for a 1vs1 he was very fast but also very fast on the ground
- Takes (goals) to become good
As much as I like Alisson in real life, EA have absolutely disgraced this card.
I packed him from an untradeable Premier League SBC Pack and I cannot tell you how excited I was to use him.
I played around 22 games with him so far, 13 Rivals/9 FUT Champs. I was at a loss of words due to how garbage this card is. The saving animations he has makes it look like he doesn’t even TRY to make a save, he just falls to the floor and holds his arm to the side. His kicking and throwing are very good, as well as his awareness for crosses, but thats it. Even if he does make a save, he’s bound to parry it right back to the attacker, who scores the second shot.
Don’t let the crazy stats fool you, this card is NOT what you expect. Just stick with Ter Stegen.

So I rinsed through my entire club of golds and silvers doing those league upgrades for TOTY. In my last 3 packs, this dude walked out! I legit couldn't believe it. Sure, he's the worst of the TOTY 12, but still. I PACKED A TOTY!
I was even happier because I already used his TOTY Nominee in my squad, so hey! A perfect fit!
I have to say, he really made my defence step up BIG TIME! Any time an opposition player got near my goal, my defence would be a step away from climbing over the poor guy, doing everything they can to stop the shot and take back possession.
"But surely that's a good thing?" I hear you say. Well, under normal circumstances, it would be. Unfortunately, my back line defend in a state of such utter fear and panic because they know the minute the ball goes anywhere near TOTY Alisson, it's pretty much a goal. Like, this has turned from a game of football to a game of 'Keep that frickin round thing the HELL away from Alisson as if your life depends on it!!!!"
TOTY Alisson has some of the worst animations in the game. I swear to god he has a gambling addiction and constantly places bets on the opposite team to win, hense his performances. I just lost a WL game 1-0 cos this idiot slapped the ball into his own net!!!!
Thing is, he's kind of decent. He's fast and spreads his body out nicely. He stops a few 1 on 1s because of his speed. Unfortunately he gets beat by some of the most simplest chances, and if you're like me and want to play even a LITTLE competitively in WL, a keeper like this is just going to make thing a heck of a lot harder.
I'm really gutted, as I was so happy to have packed him.
I do believe this is a trend though. I know that normally TOTY keepers have had reputations of being utterly abysmal.
Anyways, for your own sanity, keep away from this card.
Makes your teams defence play out of their skins.
Also does the same for the opposition attackers
he is worst keeper, i was using his gold and i was happy. he is really bad. i think there is a problem in game code, his gold playing better than him. dont buy him, dont use him.

Honestly I am in shock writing this review. Yes I read the reviews before buying this card, however being as optimistic as I am, I decided suuurely a 97 rated card can't be as bad as they say? But honestly the price on his card should have given it away. Sooooo I just played 2 games with him, in Division 9 btw (went there for icon swaps), in both games the oppositions had a combine 15 shots, guess how many were goals... 11. YES 11. He made 4 saves in those 2 games, and 3 being rushes (which maybe is his 1 and only strength). Plus those goals that all went in but 1 were very saveable shots (being div 9 quality). Therefore, this is a warning, DONT BE OPTIMISTIC LIKE ME, unless you're planning on using him in Fut Champs, so that you'll give us easy wins now ;) But yeah just wow. But then again this is EA and Fifa so anything is possible right? Overall id expect this card to be an 78 rated keeper.

After playing 50 matches (Futchamp and DR) i have to say he isn't as good as he looks. He can't save easy shots but then after loosing 5 goals he starts playing like best keeper in game. I don't know what is going on with him, maybe delay, maybe handicap...
There are matches where he is like wall but i think it's 1 of 3. I've used Lloris before and i thought that Becker will be upgrade for my team... I packed De Gea too in NY's PL upgrade and i think he is better in this 2 of 3 games.
TBH 1v1 when u have Alisson TOTY is often a goal
Maybe i'm bad at this game, but when i was using Ter Stegen or Lloris i felt safier.

Hello Guys, Imma keep this review short. This guy is actually surprisingly good (I don't get why he gets so much hate in the reviews) and probs one of the best gks I've tried out this year. If you are doubting my review cuz I'm a liVARpool fan or something, well its quite contrary cuz I'm a barca fan woohoo (hurts a bit while I write it but I can forgive liVARpool in this game). He's played about 800 matches for my club since I packed him as an untradeable during the TOTY promo.
I wanna specify that this guy has spells during the time I've used him throughout the last 4-5 months. I think it's due to the updates the EA do regularly that make the gks useless or OP every week. Also I'm comparing him to the likes of the GKs I've tried out (Gold/TOTGS Ter Stegen, FUTMAS De Gea, Gold Ederson, Gold Oblak, Gold Handanovic, Mid VDS and Gold Courtois)
I think you guys should get him now that he's around 140k on ps as he's a very formidable gk.
- Speed speed speed - he rushes out quite well when the opponent does a long through ball into my half and catches me by surprise
- Luckily the speed also helps him to quickly recover the ball when you push him out - however, I get absolutely pissed off when the opponent is quick enough to pass or ball rolls/fake shots it just to proceed to scoring (seems like a thing most gks are bad at)
- Positioning during crosses - doesn't stick to the goal post rather faces himself in the ball's direction which helps him block the crosses
- Long shot saves - I've rarely seen someone score a long shot against me when I have thing guy in goal
- Quick movement in a free kick situation - he moves fast when I control him with R3 (on ps4) to position him just behind the wall in such situations. (Guys, learn to move your keeper it helps a lot)
- Passing - both long passes and short ones are quite neat and he's composed even when he's pressed
- Low driven shots - Never every have I seen anyone score such a goal on this guy.
- Phenomenal upgrade to his gold card
- Parrying during crosses - I don't get why he can't just pluck the ball and hold it like de gea or someone.
- Recently, I've noticed that my opponents seem to score headers during corners - even though he positions himself well, I think you will need to push him out using triangle/Y button
- Some may think his 6'3 frame isn't tall enough for a GK and there's vds who way taller than him and I think Pope too. But his crucial saves means you never have to worry about his height
This has to be one of the worst goalies i have used although I've only been using ter stegen so i haven't used a ton of different keepers but packed him in a PL upgrade so decided to use him and he couldn't save anything in the corners or even simple saves. I played 5 games with him on each chem style to see if that would change anything and it didn't he is not worth the coins at all. DONT BUY!!

- Seems to avoid the ball on shots where he runs at the attacker
- Cant make saves in the corner
- Can find a better goalie for under 40k
