Fantastic LB. Look, the most important thing with this card is to have STAY BACK WHILE ATTACKING on him. He is a donkey, when on balanced instructions. But when on those instructions. Oh my, he is an amazing LB. I used the guardian chem style. Overall a great LB, I wouldn't say he's under priced or overpriced. Just at the right price.
Pace. His pace is absolutely fantastic and can catch up to any winger.
Defending. Despite only having 78 def awareness, he's always in the right position to intercept, tackle, etc.
Physicality. He can bully ANY winger off the ball, he is incredible physically.
Passing. His passing isn't amazing but it's solid, he can definitely send good through balls, but every once in a while he'll mess up a pass or two.
Dribbling. Just like his passing, it isn't amazing but it's solid. He can run down the wing just fine and his ball control is good. Feels a bit clunky tho. You should expect that, as he is 6 ft, with not great balance.
Shooting. Can't shoot the ball very well, he's a LB tho, what do you expect.
When I first saw this card I was mind blown. 99 pace, 95 physical , 91 defence... Wow I thought this was a rip off but then I looked at the stamina, sliding tackle and short pass etc I thought it is not that bad. So I put Guardian on him and he is a BEAST..
Look at those stats... 91 def, 95 physical, 99 pace, 82 shooting... He's a banger, most would think... yeah, that aint happening. His pace reeeally doesnt feel like a 99er, more like a 85er. His defending and physical look as if they're on steroids......... if he's in his correct position. In just 30 games, i cannot count the number of times coman has had to work as a defender while monsieur theo just strolls aroound in the middle of the park. If he's in the correct position, he's gonna body anyone outta the stadium into the gift shop.. but his positioning makes me wonder if the ball boy is better suited as a LB (the ball boy is closer to the position anyways.) yeah sure he's great but he reeally doesnt count as the best LBs in the game. Davies, on the other hand is an absolute beast.
You can go get him, but i recommend clichy or roussillon or mendy as french LBs, who are FAR better.
i don't understand how 385k card performing this bad, he cost me 4 losses in my first 5 WL. before theo i used reguilon. he always put himself in wrong position. he is like having high/low workrate. i always found him in left wing than in his natural position. whenever there is a through ball, theo never intercepts it, he always relying on his 99 pace to catch the opponent rather than intercepting the ball. also his 99 pace even doesn't feel like 99 because of his body type. he is like having 90 pace.
pace= he is very fast without the ball, but with the ball he is like having 90 ish pace
physicality= with this kind of body type combined with 98 strength and 93 aggression it's massive W.
passing= not so good but not so bad either.
DEFENDING= his one on one defending is very good, no one can past him in one on one but this is where it came wrong. his 78 defensive awareness is real. he always put him self in wrong position, he is like having high/low workrate. whenever opponents doing through ball, he never intercepts, he always relying on his 99 pace to catch the opponent rather than intercepting the ball.
jumping= he never win any jumping.
stamina= watch out for his stamina, because he always put himself in left wing it means he must run a lot to go back to his natural position.
right is this French man is a bit of a beast 90% of the time however he is sometimes up the pitch or out of position which leaves the rest of the defence vulnerable. his 99 pace makes him TOO FAST to jockey which is kinda peak
I should have picked tagliafico instead of this rubbish. I am unable to comprehend how ea give a 93 left back better attacking stats than defending. He cost me 6 games in this weekend league and for a 400k player he’s not worth it. I played him in a 4-2-3-1 with him on stay back while attacking. He played on 8 chem and was in a rather solid back line.
Pace: Very quick no complaints
Passing: Excellent through balls to set Neymar up.
Physical: Its excellent
Defending: I forgot to look at his work rates and defensive positioning before picking him if I had looked carefully I wont have picked this card. His one on one defending is rubbish and lt/l2 jockey is useless with him he gets dribbled past so often. If your opponent is rubbish you can easily use his pace and physical to catch up .If not kiss you 30-0 goodbye. Too often is he caught out of position and with medium defensive work rate he doesn’t even go bother getting back into position . If a player runs past him he follows him for like 3 seconds then stops for no reason.
