Player Review

94 - TOTS
4.0
Good, but not great...
By danielto7, 15-06-2020

I got this card as a red version from Weekend League rewards. As I was looking for a new striker and I already had Alphonso Davies in my team, I decided to try him for a weekend.

First of all, his pace is good, but he doesn't feel super fast in game. That is probably due to his acceleration of 93. In my opinion higher acceleration is more important than sprint speed.

His biggest pro is his finishing. This guy rarely misses when he gets the ball in the box. It doesn't matter which foot you take the shot with because of his 5* weak foot. He positions himself well in the box. Sadly, he doesn't have at least 4* skill moves. He doesn't feel super agile, so the ability to scoop turn into the box would have been much appreciated. That is a little bit of a letdown with the card. Another con is the lack of traits. He doesn't have outside the foot shot or finesse shot trait. Whilst the lack of the outside the foot shot trait isn't an issue because of the weak foot, his finesse shots are really lackluster. He simply doesn't generate any curve in his finesse shots (57 curve). I had some 1 v 1 attacks against the GK and they saved every finesse shot I took with David. Another negative aspect is his movement. He seems to be relatively lazy on the pitch, he barely ever makes runs if you don't trigger them yourself. If he had a high attacking work rate, he would be much easier to get into position. His passing however is flawless. He got a lot of assists for me because he can pass on either foot and he has 99 vision and short passing. To finish off, his physicals are weird. He has 99 jumping and 97 stamina which is great. His strength is 96, but his aggression is 35. The latter is extremely noticeable. He just doesn't win many duels against defenders and he doesn't feel very strong. For the striker position that is a big letdown.

To sum up, David's TOTS card is a striker for a cheap price (less than 100k). However, he isn't at the level of Mbappe, CR7, Ben Yedder etc. If you are like me and do a lot of skills and finesse a lot, he isn't the one. Otherwise I'd say try him out if you can get him into your team.

Underrated

At first, I was going to buy Rush moments because he was the only player with a 5 star weak foot, almost perfect finishing (>=97) and good pace for 100k-350k.He came out yesterday, so I decided to buy him instead. He's a monster, every time he shoots it goes in, I haven't done too many finesse or chip shots because a fully charged normal shot is enough most of the time.Pace wise,...

Jonathan David

here it goes, my first ever review on Futbin. I never taught I would do one but after playing 10 games with this card, I really had too. When ea released David, I really had to try him since I am Canadian and believe me, he does not disapoint. This guy is the perfect striker. He can score from both feet, can assist, he his pacey and he can control the ball like a maestro. In 10 games playing 4411 as a Strik...

Jonathan David - Cheap Beast

At the beginning I will start with the big downside of Jonathan David. Unfortunately, he has 3 stars of tricks but for people who can play such players it will not be a big problem. It is very fast, strong, has good agility and good finish. Unfortunately, his aggression statistics are only 35, although it does not make much difference.Playing it, I often met...
