Belotti was the first player I went to when thinking about a Serie A team, due to his great performance in previous FIFA editions. I bought the game standard edition but i had used the web app to trade on the transfer market beforehand, giving me a great head-start to my FIFA 21 season. I partnered Belotti up with Martinez at striker in a 4-1-2-1-2(2) formation. I chose this formation to ensure I had a faster player alongside him. Belotti was great for me, picking up 5 goals and 6 assists in 5 qualifying games, (won 4 drew 1) and overall was a great attacking option to start the game. His finishing was very good, scoring almost anything in front of goal and he was very strong, holding off lots of defenders or dribbling well to make some important line-breaks which ending up in a goal. His dribbling was good but was not the most responsive in tight situations yet his ball control was enough to breeze past most defenders. His pace was efficient with a hawk chemistry style, but i would not play him without a pace boosting chemistry style. Dribbling was enough to get past defenders, yet not as good as players such as Martinez. His physical did give him a massive advantage in close-to-goal situations, holding off defenders to make way for a shot.
The biggest pros for Belotti are his shooting and physical stats. With high finishing and attacking position, he always puts himself into the right places at the right and his 5* weak foot ensures that he will finish everything at most angles. The power header trait is helpful on FIFA 21. With the new crossing meta he can rise above most defenders with a decent jumping stat and finish in style with his head. another trait he has in the outside the foot shot which is not really needed with his 5* weak foot, but proves to be helpful in some difficult situations. His strength is great to hold up the ball in the box and either make a pass to another player or shoot to score.
His pace wasn't outstanding as some of the faster defenders were able to catch up to him. It would also be nice if he was more manoeuvrable on the ball, so a chemistry style to improve dribbling is a consideration. His passing was mostly great, yet the stat is low causing a few balls to sail where you wouldn't like them to go. Lastly, his long shots are not particularly desirable yet you can see the promise in many of the shots he takes.
