Sooooo... where to start? Apologies for the pink theme btw, totally not intended. Packed him from the 500 assists pack, and my life is complete now. Lets Go!
PACE-73
Not the best, but let's be honest, he's good enough for a CDM with shadow, with 83 pace
SHOOTING-
He's a CDM, whad'ya mean?
PASSING-73
Bit low for my liking, but then again, i loved OTW Vidal, and his isn't much better
DRIBBLING-77
Not too bad on paper, but in game its not too good. Him being tall and clunky +3* SM is not a match made in heaven. Dont fool around the box with this man, take Ziyech or someone else for that instead
DEFENDING- 89
My oh my. The true highlight. He has it all. Defensive positioning, tackling, Heading is not that good on paper, but combined with his height and JUMPING-92, he's actually scored 2 bangers
After his price went down a bit, I decided to try this card out. I've used his gold card, Partey and Kante. Without a doubt in my mind, this Ndidi is head and shoulders above the other CDM choices. I'll go into attributes below, but this card is fast, quick, more agile than it appears, better on the ball than most would think and simply a defending beast! As an added bonus, if he's not already the best or one of the best CDM's in the game, he looks like he's going to get at least one ratings boost. Leicester have a very winnable draw in this current round of the Europa League and as a team are playing really good football right now.
Lastly, when you compare this card to Kante's 89 card, Ndidi is basically just as fast, better shooting, just as good if not slightly better passing, just as good dribbling, equal defending attributes with better heading accuracy and far superior physicality. Bonus, he's half the cost!
I play Ndidi as the holding CM in a flat 4-4-2 with shadow chemistry style and stay back while attacking as his instruction.
Attributes:
Pace
84 acceleration and 86 sprint speed. Paired with his agility ratings, he feels very quick, fast and pretty agile. For a CM, especially a defending CM, he's fast and makes up ground quick. Also, unless you pull him out of position, he always seems to be in the right place at the right time.
Shooting
His worst attributes obviously. Don't count on him to be a main scorer lol. Although, I have found if you have a slow build up and he gets around the box, he can put the ball in the back of the net with definitely more frequency than Kante.
Passing
Surprisingly good. Decent vision plus really good short and long pass. In 35 games with him, I have 12 assists with him. After he makes a tackle, he does a great job at starting my attack. Not saying he's able to spray passes all over the field like De Bruyne, but great for a CDM.
Dribbling
I found his dribbling attributes to be the biggest surprise of this card. Does he feel as agile as Kante? No, but Ndidi is 6 foot tall and with 74 agility and 72 balance, I don't find him to be clunky at all. His reactions are fantastic. His ball control is really good and protects the ball well. I believe his 85 composure really helps him with his dribbling and holding off players and tackles.
Defending
99 interceptions, 84 heading accuracy, 95 defensive awareness (marking), 99 standing tackle and 99 slide tackle. One word, beast! The only way around this guy is intelligent movement and passing. If you try to take him on, you'll lose. He doesn't miss tackles, his positioning is stellar and his defensive attributes combing with his strength he will bully every player on the field. I also noticed if one of your CBs get out of position, Ndidi fills in on the back line really well to plug that hole and shut down that area. Another thing I noticed with him is that I haven't had any issues with him getting cards. Seems like he tackles very cleanly.
Physicality
Jumping 93, stamina 95, strength 81, aggression 90. His jumping combined with his height means he wins nearly every header in the midfield and is really good defending crosses in your box. His stamina allows him to easily play a full 90 minutes without tiring as well as extra time if necessary. His strength is fantastic and shields the ball well and pushes people off the ball with ease.
I would go out on a limb and say that this Ndidi card is the best CDM in the game as of Jan 21, 2021. At the very least he's top 3. Also, he has extremely high odds of getting at least one ratings boost. I wouldn't be surprised if he got more than that due to Leicester's form. I know most on the game feel like Kante is a god, but trust me, try this card and you won't be disappointed plus you'll save a ton of coins.
-Pretty cheap considering potential ratings boost, performance, price of comparable players and price of top level players at this stage of the game
