At first I was hesitant to use Navas in my squad, after all he's only 6"1 and has relatively poor positioning and handling. I also took into account the reviews on his base card which were simply awful. There certainly isn't a surplus of quality Ligue 1 goalkeepers; there's IF Benitez and SIF Lopez but they're not trustworthy enough to place between the sticks. I play in Division 2 and normally finish off around Gold 2 so I play against some quality players who use players such as R9, Eto'o, Cruyff and so on. It is fair to say that this TOTGS Navas is the best Ligue 1 option but also an unbelievable player and one who you can rely on in a 1 v 1 situation.
Reflexes - never played with a keeper who reacts as quick as him, the phrase 'fast as lightning' certainly fits the billing with navas as he is able to make almost impossible double saves and from close range he is phenomenal
Diving - even though he is 6"1 he seems to be able to fill the whole goal and is a brilliant wall. Never have I heard Derek Rae exclaim "the whites of his outstretched gloves" so much because Navas always comes up with a brilliant save.
3* Weak foot - decent enough for a keeper, means he won't spoon the ball into the attackers path.
GK Long throw - makes it much easier to start an attack from the back when he claims the ball, can easily throw the ball to the sidelines at pace and can almost reach the half-way line.
Kicking - only 77, don't expect him to make an Ederson-esque pass across the field or play a long ball over the top of the defence.
Corners - only 6"1, also cautious with crosses so when facing units in the box like Van Dijk, Ferdinand and Ramos, he makes it difficult to claim a cross or even disrupt an attempt on goal.
