When Looking at this seasons icon swaps it is easy to become underwhelmed, but fear not, Deco is here to give you good value for your tokens. When I saw him I just knew I have to do him, with a plus 8 on his shooting compared to his prime card, you can definitely tell. He's really surprised me in the first five games I've played with him in rivals. His movements are quick, passes are crisp, and weak foot is almost unnoticeable. Though he may not have the finesse shot trait, his curve stat makes his shots whip off both feet especially with his great runs and positioning in the attacking third. His passing is almost unlimited in its ability, he split defenses when giving through balls to Higuain and uses his short and lean - body type very well, twisting and turning, always keeping the ball close to his body. The only flaws I saw with this card was that he wasn't as fast as I thought he'd be with and hunter and sometimes he gets bodied off the ball, but on a positive note he doesn't fall to the ground often.
All in all he's a great card to get for 7 tokens and you can get those 7 in about 4-5 hours with weeks to do it. He is probably the best value out of all the player selections available.
I state that this is my first review, and this player prompted me to write it, i needed a player to help me link my bruno 92 potm, I initially underestimated this card, but looking at the stats I asked myself, why not? so there are no other great players from icon swaps 2
The card is sick on CAM, good pace, brilliant passing, amazing dribbling, man just look at the past year prime deco, is not the same card by far, the only cons is the physique and the unimpressive speed, but if you need a good CAM, don't let this card go for just 7 swaps
es buenisimo, pienso que para los 7 tokens que vale es totalmente worth it, tiene mejor regate y velocidad de lo que me esperaba. No defiende casi nada y no tiene mucho fisico, es mas mco que mc, pero va perfecto en las dos posiciones igualmente.
El regate es buenisimo y el tiro tambien, me sorprendio, y el tiro colocado una exquisitez. Es mas rapido de lo que me esperaba y el pase tambien es muy bueno, para tirar los corners y tiros libres va como piña.
Tal vez que no defiende casi nada (si lo usas de mc), no tiene mucho fisico, y tampoco tiene mucha resistencia, lo use de mc y se cansa bastante.
Okay, i know it is going to sound it weird, but PIM Deco is the best striker that i have tried on this year, along with RB Mertens and Freeze Aouar.
I'm playing in DIV 1 and in Weekend League, with Mertens and Deco up front and they make it rain on the field.
Deco feels a lot more faster than 85 pace, he can outrun any CB in the game (with a Hunter chem style) and his physicality is good enough to endure challenges from the strongest CB in the game.
His dribbling is quite good, he holds the ball and don't make bad touches like some other cards in the game. You can skill with him easily, he is a La Croqueta machine.
The game changer in this card is the passing. With 2 strikers in the team, he can assist with ease. He often goes into open spaces, making great runs to be in a position that he can assist the other striker. He can do some unbelievable through balls, and amazing 1-2's.
About his shooting, it is simply outstanding. This man can do it all. Finesse shot? You've got it, chief. Outside of foot? Yes, please. Screamers from outside of the box? Hell Yeah!
He doesn't miss in one-on-one's and carries the team to great wins in difficult games, his 93 composure feels like 99 and the most important thing, he feels like 5* weak foot..
I'm so glad that this card is good. Since i'm Brazilian, i saw him play in the National League here and he was always pure class. It is amazing that this year, FIFA could replicate that.
If you haven't picked him in Icon Swaps, please do! This card is too great to just pass unnoticed by the community, and i'm sure he will be a great addition to your team.

HE IS A BEAST (not a porto fan) i picked him in swaps because i needed an icon cm/cam and he didnt disappoint He was great (I played with him in DIV 5) he was amazing at through balls and also regular passes and even crosses he was a great addition and he is not only a passing merchant either he is very good at dribbling better than neymar and felt as good as high end icons and thats not all he is very fast with a hunter and can dribble for days with this combo and he is good at shooting the finishing isnt bbad and the long shots are beautiful. the only things i can say are bad about the card is physical and defending .They are atrocious he feels like a five year old on the ball but the defending is just as bad he can only win as if the player goes next to him (I even tried an anchor.However he is well worth the tokens the only player in swaps that is even near the value is overmars however he is cheaper and there is alot of lw this year

Going into icons swaps 2, I was very disappointed. I was looking forward to grabbing a defensive midfielder icon for my squad and I didn't really want to gamble. I am not the best player around (peak div 5 and gold 3) and this guy was basically the only icon that was worth it so i went for it and it keeps the possibility open for the second half to get a couple of packs. Deco really suprised me, I love my cams and usually I build my teams with 3-4 and put some of them at striker in a 4222 but i decided to go with a couple of wingers this time and set up with a 4231. He really outdribbles the competition and his passing is outstanding. He did have problems finishing a couple of times and that has to be accounted, as i am not much of a skiller. i didn't notice the skillmoves at all. His weakfoot is sadly a major point of concern. I have tried him out for several games now, usually as the RCM on balanced in a 4-3-3 (2) with an anchor. The reason I think he is well suited to a box to box role rather than central CAM is because if you try to do too much, his on ball strength, pace that isn't too amazing, and 4* skills mean he will get pushed off the ball.
Pace: 8.45/10: He moves pretty well and certainly isn't slow. I love his little bursts forward on the ball combined with something like a heel to heel or stepover. At an earlier stage it would be a 9 but now a lot of people have fast midfielders. It is a pro on the card for me
Shooting: 8.3/10: He is clinical from close range and his weakfoot feels better than 3*. His longshots are pretty good and I've been unlucky not to score more with him (posts and crazy saves).
Passing: 9.3/10: It is some of the best in the game. His switches of play and press resistance is exactly what you want. He plays nice through balls as well, almost never misses a pass.
Dribbling: 8.9/10: Deco can change direction very quickly and his body type is good for close control dribbling. However, if you get carried away he will get outmuscled. He gets out of tight spaces very well and has an excellent first touch.
Defending: 7.45/10: Deco is actually all right defensively. His aggression and strength off the ball feels quite good and he makes some nice interceptions sometimes. More than adequate for a CM and is definitely not a setback if you try to use him as a CM.
Physicality: 8/10: On the ball, he is weak, but off of the ball he certainly takes your opponent off guard. His surprising strength and aggression lets him win tackles and pounce on loose balls very well, which is very important for a CM. Stamina is pretty good
Conclusion: Deco is a very good midfielder and can play B2B or attacking CM, CAM, Wide CAM, false nine, and maybe even CDM. The defensive stats are definitely a lie and he feels about as good as fede valverde, although I have put an anchor on Deco. The passing is the best part of the card, but he has some nice pace and dribbling as well. A very solid all around player and will be good for quite a while.
so I picked deco up from swaps and wow. I can only marvel at how good this man is. His turns and ball rolls and every skill I do with him is so smoothe and silky. When him and Ben Yedder SIF (highly recommended) had their debut on the same day, WOW. I can only marvel. I just packed Mbappe untrade so sadly Ben yedder will have to go, now back to deco. He feels really fast with hunter and his shots always go top corner. Considering he took less than a week, I highly recommend it.
I honestly just took him from Icon Swaps because I did not want to risk it with icon packs, so I just went for this guy. Since my CAM spot in the 4231 is already occupied (Rooney), I am playing him as an offensive box to box CDM next to my Flashback Khedira. Didnt know what to expect, but hell yeah this guy is on fire. With an Anchor his Defending and Physical stats are alright, at least good enough to win some duels here and there. His pace is BLISTERING, since the acceleration is pretty good, this guy feels so fast when he is going forward. Besides his smooth dribbling and his really, really good passes, the best thing about this card is his shooting: I scored 13(!!!) bangers with him this WL, all from outside the box. The R1 finesse shots are better than Rooneys (and that is pretty hard). Overall, if you are looking for a good CM or CAM (based on what Ive seen he should be fire there), just get him. The 7 tokens do not take that much time.

Hey guys! First review in a year or two, so might not be the best, I'm sorry. Anyway, a couple weekends ago I decided to go into WL, just to try it out. Hadn't played it for a few years, but had some fun. I decided to record the footage and take a shot at editing it, so here's the outcome. I decided to review one of my players, deco. Since this weekend, my team ( shown in the url above) has changed to the photo of the team alongside deco's stats below. I packed smalling from the 85x5 pack (yes, crazy luck) and desailly from the mid/prime pick (which is also up on my youtube, @memefa). But anyway, enough of that and on to the review. I finished 10-20, enough to warrant silver 2 and murillo 81 from reds. The standout player was either duncan or el sha, I think el sha. Duncan started off really well for the first half, he was really dominant at LB, but I started to notice him less. I played 4231 with el sha st, deco cam (swapped with dybala after about 5 games), dybala lm, robben rm, keane and tonali cdm, boateng and vidic cb, klaiber rb and duncan lb. Deco just didnt feel great, his presence was minimal. Some passes he made were excellent, but he did feel slightly slow on the ball. For anyone wondering, I got him from swaps. I recommend him if you dont have a better player, he plays like his stats say he should play. Anyway, that's pretty much it.
