When the Eredivise cards came out I knew it was the perfect opportunity to bring back club legend Klaiber to my squad and still be able to link my untrad De Jong TOTS, so I decided to pair him with Koopmeiners as CDMs in a 442. Koopmeiners was a pretty good buy for 130k. His pace was a bit underwhelming but he did surprisingly good in beng there both in supporting the attack and then helping Frekie hold the line in front of the defense. Also, absolute long shot merchant, scored some abngers for me.
I say he is the perfect B2B player, however he misses a few things. So ill just mention his cons and problems in this and just assume that everything I have missed is a pro... His work rates being M/M is a bit of a problem when it comes to B2B cards because it obviously means that they aren't going to be using their shooting, defending as much and their stamina becomes almost useless. He sadly doesn't have a good wf or sm, so u can't use him as much of attacking CM. His finishing isn't good enough for a cam and neither is his agility and balance. But as long as u play them at cdm all of them are fine. He is defo worth it for a small price of just 60k (just over fodder value). Overall a solid 9.5/10, so very good however the higher you play him the worse that becomes, but he is a good b2b if u just want them too come forward and simple score a goal or play a nice pass. But never try any crazy dribbling imo.
This weekend I wanted to try some new squad, so I decided to make Eredivisie & CSL hybrid (you can see it here: https://www.futbin.com/21/squad/8602334 ).
I decided that TOTS Koopmeiners is the best CM/CDM from Eredivisie, so I played him in all 27 WL matches this week (28-30 May), which I ended in Gold 3 with result 14-13. Koopmeiners was important part of that squad, securing defence as stay back CDM in 4222 formation. I played him with chemistry style Shadow, which is the best style for him in my opinion. I can say that Koopmeiners interceptions were top class, with 95 pace on Shadow really helping against pace abusers. Teun has only 82 aggresion, but if it's not enough for you, you can give him aggresive interceptions in guidelines as I did. Koopmeiners dribbling wasn't anything amazing, but it was enough good for me - he didn't feel clunky. His passing is very good, especially the short ones, which I don't remember missing. Other advantages are good strength and 98 stamina, which was really helpfull. Since I played Koopmeiners as CDM, I can only say 1 good thing and 1 bad about his shooting - his penalties are probably the best in game with 99 penalties and 98 shot power, but his finesse shots are terrible because of just 80 curve. I tried 2 finesses and they were both far from the goal. I didn't try power shots from outside the box or 1v1 actions with Teun, so I won't rate them. Overall, I can say that this card is top class CDM for very cheap price, but I wouldn't play him CAM or even CM, because of his bad finesses and 3* skills / 3* weak foot.
top class defending
good physicality, especially 98 stamina
dribbling is acceptable
good passing, especially the short ones
99 penalties
95 pace on Shadow
good body type for CDM
decent nation for links
very good value for coins
82 aggresion might be low, but it's not that bad
finesse shots are terrible because of 80 curve
3 / 3 - enough for CDM, probably not for CM/CAM
league links are average - there are some decent cards in Eredivisie, but few top class cards
Battle tested in the weekend league, over 30 games as a CDM so I feel like I can give you a good insight into how he performs. I think he is versatile enough to play in other areas of the pitch, but when it comes to the midfield, I think he fits better as a CDM on a two midfielder formation or as a CM or a three midfielder formation. Can also see him being effective as a fullback or as a CB.
Spoiler alert: He is good, so if he fits your team I advise getting him, really cool card!
His pace in midfield is fantastic to have;
Phenomenal passing on every aspect with his left foot. With his right foot its still good, except when it comes to Long balls over the top, be mindful of that;
Shot power is king, if he gets in positions where he can score, he will score most of the time and has good long shots on him, very good shooting overall for a CDM;
99 penalties is an underrated thing to have in your team, feels great to have such a beast to take my pens;
Good free kicks means that he is a great option to take all your set pieces. Will deliver good crosses on corners and score the odd goal or two from free kicks inside 30 meters;
Phenomenal interceptions, by far my favorite aspect about his defensive ability, really really good! Tackling is also great;
Not the tallest, but tall enough to bully most players, he feels very strong and very agressive, wins most duels in the air defensively and his stamina is elite;
Dribbling is alright for a CDM, isn't as clunky as Leroy Fer for example;
Cheap, eredivisie and dutch links, cool traits and cool dynamic image;
Left footed player, they are somewhat rare so its cool to have a few on your team, especially one in the midfield;
Versatility, can perform on every defensive position I imagine, even though I didn't test it. I think he would be a very good leftback or even CB.
I think his medium defensive workrate can be a problem at times, sometimes I felt like he was not supporting my CBs, even with stay back on attack instructions. Suggest trying the "position between CBs" instruction because he can be a bit lazy and thats my biggest complaint about him;
dribbling isn't good enough to play a box to box in my opinion, especially considering the 3 star skills;
3 star weak foot lowers his ceiling as a long passer and as a long shot taker.
