When we are talking about Frenkie, u don't have to expect great and amazing goals. He brings u composure and dribbling in the midfield. He was amazing in de build-up play, he is great on the ball and his passing makes that he always find his teammates.
For his defensive an physical stats he wins a lot of balls and physicalbattles with his opponents. Anchor helps with that, but it was a little suprise. I definitly think he would fit any playstyle, but for me he is my go-to guy.
I recommend him for every squad, even when his price rise above the 100-120k.
I've tried a lot of midfielders so far but this guy is just outstanding. He is very responsive on the ball and has an amazing passing, which helps a lot, when opponent starts to press your team. His defending is also good, he intercepts a lot and make some really great tackles, also with 'Shadow' he feels really fast so it's hard to run away from him. Also, his corners are really special, when he entered my team, every corner became a threat, I had a streak of 5 games, where I scored at least 1 time from Frenkie's corner. Maybe to note, that it's not a good idea to rely on him as the only defensive cdm, because he does the job but he can't cover everything like Kante. Can't say much about shooting, because he doesn't have a lot of chances in my playstyle and with his workrates he doesn't attack much as well but he scored 2 out of 2 moments that he had, so for me it's fine as well(didn't expect it with those shooting stats)

Maybe shooting if you shoot a lot using you midfielders
Very solid, can play in any squad. I have used him as both a holding CDM and a b2b and he does well at both. I used Engine rather than shadow to give his dribbling and passing an extra boost. His defending feels good even without shadow, very good at making tackles and his strength doesn't let him down. He's great for starting attacks with as he's quick, has great dribbling and very good long and short passing. His 90 stamina also means he easily lasts the whole 90 minutes.
The only negative I would say is his shooting. When I played him b2b he often ended up in shooting positions but missed a lot as his shots are very weak.
I'm just going to say it right off the bat - this guy is UNREAL.
I played De Jong in a 4-2-3-1 as the middle CAM and it felt like no matter where I was on the pitch he was always there. Frenkie is the type of player that will play a perfect pass to your winger, from just inside your own half, get into the box and somehow get a shot on target. And if the keeper makes a save THIS GUY WILL BE RIGHT BACK AT HALF TO INTERCEPT THE BALL.
His passing is quality - he'll almost always pick out the perfect pass.
His dribbling is quality - with the addition of the dynamic dribbling this year this guy can hold onto the ball for days.
Even his shooting which based on his stats doesn't look impressive is quality - I found myself scoring 3 outside of the box finesse shots with this guy.
I am a Gold 3 player (which i know isn't that impressive) but with Frenkie I feel as if I have more confidence in myself playing through the midfield and building up play rather than just play kick and run like I used to.
Bottom line is you should get this card if you need someone that you can trust in your midfield.
Pace - I used him with a shadow card but even without it he's rapid
Shooting - Even with unimpressive shooting stats I rarely saw him struggle to finish
Passing
Defending
Stamina - this may be because of how I personally use him, but I found that sometimes I was subbing him out around the 75 minute mark
I needed somebody to slot in next to RuleBreaker Nainggolan as a CDM in the 4231. I chose de jong to fill this role, as I had previously used Valverde and Thomas Partey in this role but i felt like neither of them could pass the ball well enough. Little did I know, this was one of the best decisions i made. De jong dominated the midfield. His pace allowed him to get back and help the defense, yet still keeping up with some of the fastest attackers, such as rashford and lucas moura. Not a single match went by when de jong wasn't putting challenge after challenge after chalolenge in to stop the attackers from scoring. In my opinion, de jong is one of the best cdms in fifa 21. For only 25k, de jong is definitely one of, if not the, best value for coin cdm. If you haven't tried him already, you don't know what you're missing out on.
-pace (great, especially with anchor)
-stamina (will last the full game)
-interceptions (great at stopping through balls)
-dribbling (very solid, won't be taking on the entire team but can definitely get himself out of trouble)
-passing (as i mentioned before, i didnt like how Valverde and Thomas Partey were at passing, however, de jong felt great at passing)
-positioning (always in the right place at the right time)
-shooting (he won't miss an open net but he isn'y scoring screamers every match either)
-strength (not very noticeable with an anchor, but if you use a shadow he might not have a lot of strength)
-4*3* (i didn't notice it that much but some players might)
The best CM in FIFA? Maybe. To be fair, his stats don't look out of this world. Apart from some good links, nice pace, passing and dribbling, I could see why this card is overlooked. I thought he was just the dutch version of Marcos Llorente.
But there is so much more to him.
I got him untradeable out of a pack of some kind, and thought "oh thats some good SBC fodder", and didn't look at him again until i packed What If Yuri Berchiche. Then I had a reason to use him: the link from Moments Depay (who is incredible btw) to Yuri. I play Frenkie on 8 chem with a shadow and honestly I haven't seen anything like it. He seems to be everywhere on the field: edge of the box to play a killer pass in behind, charging back on defence to make a last ditch challenge, controlling the game in the midfield. Of course, he can't be compared to the liked of Gullit, TOTY Bruno or even headliners Goretzka. But as I'm writing this Frenkie is only 25k, and that's with fodder prices through the roof. Other the Gini Wijnaldum (who I also use), you genuinely cannot find a better CM/CDM for this price.
Just on a side note I only play the linked team in game, I start in a 451 where Frenkie is on 8 chem. I also played him almost exclusively in Div rivals where I am in Div 6
Maybe he isn't the best CM in the game, but for this price, you can't ask for more.

- Physical (He got bullied of the ball sometimes but not too big of an issue)
