I don't normally write any reviews, but I saw this man does not have any yet, so I felt compelled to share with you all just how great this guy is for me! I was playing before with Neymar up front next to baby Zola, but I had some spare coins and decided to try prima Butra. Not a single moment of regret since.
I am not a great player by any means (currently DIV 4, but on the rise thanks to him), but he changed everything for me. His dribbling is so smooth, even without using any skill moves he can easily destroy the best defenders. His positioning is incredible too, he is always in the right spot to finish the attack. Most surprisingly for me though, is the amount of assists he gives. He makes my entire team play better. Baby Zola was already doing great for me, but has now basically doubled his goals per game thanks to Butra. He either gives the right pass for Zola to finish, or he draws in the defenders to create so much space for my other players.
Absolute game changer for me!
Dribbling of course; so smooth and always has the ball close by to turn and send defenders into the wrong direction completely;
Finishing; shooting is insane. Finesse shots in or near the box are guaranteed goals;
Passing is very good, even though his stats may not directly showcase that;
Creating room for other players as he sucks defenders in all the time;
Only his strength, but good luck getting close enough to him to be able to push him off the ball!
At first, I am a regular gold 1 player and after trying Eto'o, Cantona as my Striker, I wanted to go with something different and off the radar. So I decided for Butragueno even though I was quite unsure, since 3* Skills usually is no option for a player of my front four. But I still gave it a go, and I wouldn't regret it. I played him in a 4-4-2 as a striker together with Mbappe with a( have a look at my squad) and he was phenomenal. He is incredibly small, feeling smaller than any player I ever tried before, but at the same time he is unbelievably fast. His 4* Skills really bothered me at the beginning. But as I progressed with Butra, I adapted a more efficient, no-nonsense playstyle, with less skill moves, which made him even deadlier. I can only say, that he scored 180 GOALS in 101 games, while assisting over 70 and I am not even talking about all the penalties I earned through him because he is so incredibly agile.
Pace: He feels Incredibly fast, even faster than his 94 pace which is incredible
Finishing: Incredible, Curve Shots, 1v1 Finishes, , left foot right foot finish.
Dribbling: He can only be stopped with a foul. He probably earned me around 20 Penalties in 100 games for staying so close on the ball even in the box
Aerial threat: He may be small, but if you cross on counterattacks, he'll bang it in. He even scored 2-3 goals after corners but more or less on accident. But don't be shy to cross to him
Passing: alright, even better than expected but he won't be your next Xavi
price: I bought him just shy of 1,7m, but seeing him now around 2,1m I think it is quite steep
Maybe 3* skills: I don't like 3* skills for my offensive players either. But I can only recommend to try him out because for me, this made him even more effective
Set-Play: you shouldn't use him for FKs and Pks, but since you have to spend at least 2m on this bad boy I guess you'll have another player taking care of that
so, this card... As a player who uses skill moves when he was one of my picks in my icon player pick I wasn't sure about him but picking him over (mid) del Pierro and (mid) best was the best decision I could have made. This card is the definition of a rat, he is so short and agile and he feels elite, when he bridges he runs around the player against him for fun, he is just so small and fast. Anyway, the first game I played a hawk on him and I didn't like that his dribbling didn't feel as responsive as possible, so I switched to finisher and it was such a good decision, playing butra on either a finisher or engine is key because he only has 3* skills you need the absolute most responsive card you can get. (engine if you want passing and pace, finisher for shooting) In-game this card feels like the fastest player I have used, easily his pace is horrible to deal with if playing against him. His shooting is very trustworthy he will bang whatever you want into the back of the net, finesse shots, power shots, across goal, near post. He is a finishing merchant with one of the best finishes in the game, it's comparable to Puskas's left foot. His passing in-game
is spot on and while there isn't any stat indicating that you should trust his passing you should, but his long passing isn't the best. His dribbling surprised me and not in a good way, I expected a 5'6 player to dribble beautifully silky but he didn't without the chem style, keep in mind my dribbling standards are very high for any normal player his normal left stick should be more than good enough, but with a finisher/engine he has the best dribbling in the game along with Puskas. Lastly is his physicals and those are weird, this is because if it comes down to a contact situation butra will lose but his recovery is insane because he is as small as he is he can run around varane or boateng and jam the ball out of their feet. Something else I noticed with the card which i loved was that his height allowed him to dispossess centreback's because his little feet fit comfortably under the CB's legs <----- Very underrated trait...
One of the fastest players in ultimate team
One of the jammiest players in ultimate team
One of the best finishers in ultimate team
Height
5* weak foot
Unspoken passing
Chem style versatility
Dribbling
Finesse shot trait
Weak on the ball (His jam makes up for that)
3* skill moves (this is very annoying because if he had 4 or 5 he would honestly be one of the best cards in the game)
His Med/Low work rates, not noticeable in game but it's still there.
all year this fifa i have been struggling to find a striker that has perfectly fit my play style, using prime Henry, Ronaldo and many more. finally, i landed on trying prime butra for the first time and i have not had a single second of doubt in his abilities on the field, i use him as a lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 in division 1 with prime stoichkov, POTM messi and rooney all behind him and even with the extra firepower up top he will come out of most games with a hat trick. his pace is just unmatched and with his body type and high dribbling he doesnt lose any pace when hes on the ball. his shooting is just perfect and the 5 star weakfoot really makes a difference in his finishing ability, his volleys, long shots and just every other kind of shooting you can think of are just beautiful. his dribbling is something that i think really separates this card from others in his price range, i know the 3 star skills is something most people would be worried about and at first i was too but i dribble past and through defenders more with just left stick dribbling with butra more than i do with normal skills moves with players like messi, so trust me ignore the 3 star skills because he will 100% breeze past defenders just fine. his passing is also great, not anything special but he doesnt muck up easy passes and can ping a ball well if he has the time and space.his physicals are also solid, his balance partnered with his pace and dribbling make it hard for big defenders to body him off the ball without giving up a foul. If you have the coins and want a striker dont look back at all for 1.2 mil hes the best money can buy and id argue there isnt a better striker than the obvious choice of R9.
pace
shooting
dribbling
weakfoot
body type
passing
NONE
if you wanna complain about 3 star skills than do it but they dont matter with this card
Butra was my favorite player in the last year and I was lucky to get him 2 months ago in the Mid or Prime Pack.
At first, I was super thrilled after packing him, just to realize that he is missing the main attribute in this year's game which is at least 4* skills.
I'm g2/g1 player and playing in div 2.
Butra is super small on the pitch, but that makes him super agile which kinda compensates the lack of skills.
He has 99/99 pace with hawk but he isn't as fast as Mbappe, and lack of strength won't help him a lot in those 'get in behind' situations.
I was mostly playing him in left ST in many different formations with two attackers.
His shooting is for most of the time amazing, but sometimes he'll make inconsistent finesse shots when no one is close to him, and the GK will easily catch the ball. This becomes much more frequent after he loses his stamina after 70 minutes.
At the time of getting him he was around 2mil which was too much, but at this price, if you are not a skiller (why arent you tho?) I would suggest getting him, but even though I never tried Dalglish I would always go for Dalgli just because of that one extra skill rating.
Or you could just get Neymar for 1/3 of the price and you'll be equally satisfied.
Overall I might be trying him this weekend on CAM with 'basic' just to increase his passing, and to get extra shot power(unlike with engine).
Is he an end-game card? Unfortunately nope, unless you are satisfied with G3 and lower.
- Shooting (for high% of times)
- 5 WF , not as important as in last year but still nice to have
- Pace, but not too fast
- Agility and movements inside the box
- Kinda cheap at the moment
- Short passing and vision, not too bad but could be better!
- Long passing is just terrible
- Sometimes inconsistent finesse shots
- Stamina
- Strength
- Not having 4* skills, makes him super predictable
(sorry for english but i am using google translate)
i packed him in a striker pm/prime/mid icon pack, and im very happy very fast attacker, much better than mbappe base and ronaldo base, at the levels of neymar.
fantastic agility, turns in 2 seconds.
maybe I would improve his finalization because sometimes in front of the goal he shoots at the goalkeeper, the 3 of skill can be a problem, but combined with a 4/5 of skill he is a perfect attacker
