I was lucky enough to pack him, I really want the coins but refuse to sell someone as prestigious as him esepcially when he's first owner.
I'm sure it's not surprise but he's genuinely incredible, having someone of his ability in this game has made such a differance to the start of this game for me. He's practically carried me up to Division 2, and I am incredibly average at FIFA. An added bonus in selling him allowed me to sell my whole team and buy big players to try out like Neymar/Mbappe/Messi, still undecided on who to pair him up with. Regardless who he plays with he does bits all over the pitch. He has some form of input in a majority of my goals. It's a shame he cant defend because considering i'm in Div 2 (whilst being average at FIFA) most of my games end up looking like a basketball score.
The 'meta' of FIFA 21 seems to be predominantly based on Skills and Pace ... and more Pace... probably some more Skills. Regardless this guy has a lot off both, he's no stranger to an elastico to unlock defences. His movement is quality too, he tends to always be in space to recieve a pass and if he gets half a chance to run through on goal he'll take it.
It's a big ask to have the coin this early in the game... to be fair 2 Mil at any point... but he's definetly worth it. If he makes an appearnace in Icon SBC's or Icon swaps this year 100% consider him he'll return the favour.

Oh yeah and shot power is annoying sometimes but just dont expect every shot from 35 yards to go in.
So, i have a lot of fodder in my club after my TOTY pack opening (obviously, got nothing) and i am set to do ronny flashback when my friend convinces me to do an icon pack. i have 200k after panic selling my promes after the spartak rumours (don't judge my first fifa), so the 86 is done, 85s done with fodder and 83 with fodder as well. i open the pack, and the roulette goes to the top 9, i click argentina, get excited because i see my loan maradona, get annoyed and then see baby maradona next to it.
played 10 games in div 5 and he has 9 goals 13 assists from CAM in 4231

This is the second review I have done but Im still not that good but I hope this helps. I did Icon swaps and packed this mad man from the base icon pack. I have used him against many of my friends as well as some games online in Divi 3 . Of course I know this is a small sample size but trust me he is an amazing player. He can find holes in the defence so easily and his dribbling is electric but his finishing is out of this world. As long as you have him inside the box almost everything goes in left foot , right foot even headers occasionally. I didn't feel that he was slow either. I went up against Varane, Joe Gomez , and Kounde and he didn't feel slow compared to them and if anything I backed him on multiple occasions to beat them on a foot race. For me him paired up with another striker ( for me Aouar) has really made him unstoppable before I had him up top by himself and it was not working. So recommend having a Strike partner to really get him going ( or give him drugs). Of course I have him first owner but if you can afford him I recommend that you get him especially since he's not as expensive now. 1.7 mil is still a very steep price I know but he'll be a buy you wont regret.

Div. 2 player - When i bought Maradona for 2.1 mil coins i was very excited to use him in my first fut champs, in the first games he just wasn't preforming, not getting goals, no assists, generally just playing like a below par player. But as i used him more and i got a hang of how to use him he started scoring and contributing very well. He feels very nice on the ball, he lacks the feel of someone like Neymar but his dribbling was quality. He scored long shots (when you are at the correct angle) pretty consistently and had a nice shot inside the box, his power shots though were inconsistent, not something i was expecting from a 2 mil coin player. His best position would be a cam. Compared to Neymar he lacks in basically everything but finesse shots outside the box and passing. Overall this card is definitely not someone i would be willing to buy again for over 2 mil coins, if we are saying 1.5 mil and under, it would be considerable but just buy neymar. He holds a large icon and Maradona tax on him and he isn't someone who will come on the pitch and change the team dynamic.

I bought Maradona with extremely high expectations. I'm an elite/Div 1 player at around 2000 skill points. I'll be honest, he was a bit of a disappointment.
Used him for around 30 games to really get a good feel for him. Given his insane agility and balance I thought he'd be flying by defenders with ease. However, he feels nothing like a Douglas Costa or Saint Maximin with better finishing. He gets pushed off the ball a lot but that is expected. His stamina was also a bit of an issue late in the game, and it felt wrong to sub off a 2mil player in the 2nd half of a tight game.
IMO you should buy Salah if you want the exact same player. Salah's strength and finishing actually feels a bit better. For 2 mil coins you can get Salah and a legend midfielder/defender, which I ended up doing.
