Player Review
87 - FUT Future Stars
So I got him on the 2 85+ SBC and was super hyped. Great stats, great links, and a 600k card for free? Felt like the jackpot. I already have Klaiber on the right side and I need him there for chemistry, so I have to use Reece on 7 chem, which honestly considering his stats, doesn't feel like much of a problem. So in game I use him as my left back, Klaiber as my right back and Baby Maldini and Gomez as my CBs. I use him with a Shadow and stay back instructions on a 4-4-2 formation. This review will be based on his performance this weekend on FUT champs.
Also, this review will be based on my experience on using him on 7 chem and on the left side, which are obviously not the ideal circumstances for him to shine, so take this review for what it is. On a different position or with different chem he might perform better than what he did for me, so this review is mostly for people that are planning on using him in a similar manner as I did.
Spoiler, I think he is alright, but he isn't impressive, which is something you would expect of a player of his price tag (at the time of this review, around 650k). Cant confidently say he is much better than for example Semedo in game, which considering the price difference, is kind of a problem lol.
Good player, not great, not bad. Above average. I'd say a light 8 out of 10.
- Big and Strong, I understand why some people suggest using him as a CB, man is an absolute unit.
- Passing feels good and so does his dribbling.
- Not the best at stopping counter attacks as I will explain in the cons, but if your defense is set, he will be pretty much like a Centerback. Very good defensively when he is in the box. Very good standing tackles.
- Strong in the air.
- Good links.
- With a Shadow on 7 chem he has 94 acceleration and 97 sprint speed. At face value those look like very good stats, but in game he doesn't feel that fast honestly, will get burned by the META players if caught out of position. If his positioning was flawless, his pace wouldn't be a problem I dont think, but lets talk about it.
- Workrates- High/Medium isn't anything new, many fullbacks have those exact same workrates, incluing Klaiber, which I love. But in case of Reece it seemed like it was affecting his positioning. I dont understand why, but even with stay back instructions I still catch him out of position a lot, he likes to come foward, so when I lose the ball he isnt where he should be very often. This wouldnt be as big of an issue if he was super fast in game as I kind of expected him to be, but as I said, he isn't that fast. So thank god I have two amazing CBs that can slow down the attack while Reece recovers, but honestly that was very disapointing to witness, even though it didn't affect my weekend league that much..
- Value for money- Im sorry but I have to say, his price tag is ridiculous. If you are paying 650k for a fullback, he has to really go full beastmode to justify the investment. I got him for free so im happy with him and he will be a part of my team for a long time, but if you dont get him for free, I would honestly advise staying away from this card if you can. You have much better options for cheaper. Maybe if you plan on using him as a CB, the investment is easier to justify, but since I have not tried him there or plan to do so (I just love my Maldini and Gomez too much), I can't give my opinion on that.
