I wanted to like him

BACKGROUND

I always wanted Torres in my squad and after testing his 85 rated card, it was such a disappointment. But eventually I said to myself that maybe 88 rated card is better.

Reasons why I hated Torres (85):

· Slow

· Clunky

· Passing

· Dribbling

RM – TOTY Grealish

CAM – Gerrard (89)

ST – Torres (88), Mane

Pace - 8/10 – He is a lot faster than 85 version but at times he can feel just as tall/slow going against guys like Varane, What If Smalling, Ferdinand.

Dribbling – 5/10 – His dribbling still sucks. He cannot hold the ball and keeps losing it when he is getting pressured. Very slow responsiveness and clunky.

Shooting –9/10 – This is absolute a beast. He will score on either foot 9 out of 10.

Defending – N/A

Passing – 2/10 – What a big con. Absolute joke. He cannot do simple passes and expect him to not deliver the ball most of the time.

Physical – 8/10 – I think he does well which helps when you defenders are trying to bring you down. Also helps with his heading.

Price Bought – 750k – in term of value of coins, I would say he is overpriced and I would rather play Timo Werner (Gold or IF) rather than him.

Final Thoughts:

Believe me, I really wanted to like his card since I have Gerrard and Beckham on the squad but there are so many other cheaper options like ROONEY, Timo Werner, etc. that can do the job as well.

In my opinion, if you like Tall, Fast, Physical, Heading player, this is for you

If you like to pass or dribble upfront with your strikers, do not get this card.

I decided to try this card out and used his loan for 3 games and its convinced me to go ahead and work towards his SBC as his card is the real deal. His positioning is top tier. He always seems to be in the right position to receive the pass and get the shot off especially in a formation with 2 strikers.
