I'd been using TOTS Moments De Gea for ages and was actually really happy with De Gea, he saved so many shots any other keeper would let in but my team wasn't working so went French and bought this guy. While he's not quite De Gea between the posts, he's not far off and his saves in 1v1 situations are the best on the game.
Diving
Sometimes lets in very well placed shots that maybe De Gea would have stretched to, but this certainly isn't a major flaw. Saves most shots
Reflexes
This is by far his biggest strength. Although he does still let the odd few stupid near post shots in from an angle, in 1V1 situations he's usually unbeatable. Rushes out very quick and smothers players, always catching the ball cleanly. A huge asset.
Handling
Very good. Never spills the ball or pushes it back in to play- an issue I'd had with most keepers before. This guy's handling is 10/10
Positioning
Can be difficult to assess but I've not noticed myself conceding due to positional errors. Seems to be very good
Speed
Not as quick as TOTS Alisson, but who is; his speed is good for a goalkeeper
Distribution
Distribution is top tier. Although he doesn't have the longthrow trait, he plays like he does and his kicking is second to none. Bagged me 2 assists as well.
Overall
I'd definitely recommend snapping him up. He's good between the posts but his real strength is his ability to rush out of goal and take out strikers in 1v1s. He always catches the ball cleanly so I don't have to worry about conceding stupid scrappy goals and makes a lot less errors than most keepers on this game do. For comparison, I'd say I do still slightly prefer De Gea but Magian definitely has strengths over De Gea, and for 38k currently this fella is a steal.
Almost all year i was using his gold and his ww verison till tots, where i switched it up with De Gea, Alisson, and PIM Casillas and its safe to say he's by far the best one i've used this year.
What differentiates from the others is that he's reliable and concedes less stupid goals. Don't get it twisted he will always concede some stupid goal here and there but all keepers do, just like they'll make some insane saves from time to time. What sets him apart is his reliabilty like i said, he's the only keeper ive used this year that saves whatever you except from him to save and concedes excepted goals unlike the others where almost every other game they gonna concede some stupid goal that make you go "wtf are you doing" that does not happen with my nan.
