What a card. This is honestly the best striker I´ve used this year. He´s quick, agile, great on the ball, absolutely clinical from inside the box and a solid passer. The only real downside is the weak foot, even though Sánchez recieved a weak foot upgrade from three star to four star, his right foot feels rather weak, If I hadn´t known it was four star I would have assumed it was worse. Although this is a small issue, it doesn´t change the fact that this card is extremely fun to play with and incredible in game.
The price of the SBC is really solid. It may seem rather expensive at first glance, especially compared to some incredible SBC´s that we´ve seen this year like TOTT Di Mária or EOAE Bale, but once you try the card in game you´ll realise that it is an absolute bargain. Although with the current prices of fodder, If you don´t have a majority of the fodder required right now, I´d highly recommend to wait after TOTY ends, as the SBC will expire in three months and with cheap fodder it´ll be an even better deal.
The two most used chem styles on this TOTY Icon Sánchez card are engine and hawk. I´ve tried both and I have to say I was a bit diappointed with engine. After a few games I changed over to hawk and never looked back, the card felt much much better on controlled than it did on explosive and he instantly became more productive and started banging two goal per game on average, which I personally consider very good. The improvement that engine provides to dribbling and passing isn´t noticable in game, he seems to be just as good on the ball with a hawk as he is with and engine, which might be a bit disappointing to you if you prefer an explosive striker over a controlled one. Although hawk does provide him with more strength, he still feels a bit weak and his stamina isn´t the best either, because of that I sometimes even have to sub him off.
TLDR: Overall, this is a great, well priced SBC, but if you don´t have enough fodder for it right now, I´d recommend waiting at least 2 weeks to complete it due to current TOTY fodder prices. The card feels excellent in game, especially with a hawk chemstyle, the only real downside is the weak foot, which feels more like three star than four star.
- Pace, Shooting, Dribbling
- Passing isn´t quite as good as those three, but still very solid for a ST
- Weak foot
- Not as much of a bargain ATM due to high fodder prices
- Strength and Stamina are okay, but not the best
Hugo is maybe the best striker I've used this year ! The main pro of this card is his finishing he can score with his left foot and right foot easily, headers are incredible for his size and volleys are perfect. He is also very fast and will outpace most defenders whitout a doubt. His positionning and runs are on point to he is always were you expect him to be ! Dribbling is very good as well and 4* SM are a great additiion compared to his prime version. You can sometimes feel his lack of strenght against strong defender but most of the time his pace and agility will do the job. Passing is not particulary great but is good enough to get him some assists. I play most of the games in FUT champs Playoff and he scored at every match with a great Goal to game ratio ! If you have some fodders from the packs you saved for TOTY I highly recommand doing him

Hugo Sanchez is a must do sbc. He's going to be a starting striker right up to TOTS, his positioning is superb, You can always look for him when your playing a lofted through ball due to his 90 base ATT positioning. His base pace is decent, however I would definitely recommend a hunter, or hawk to mainly boost his pace. Shooting is very good, he will finish any shot on his stronger left foot. He does miss the occasional right foot low percentage strike, or volley for some reason. Sanchez's passing is decent, never seen him misplace an easy pass on either foot, he also plays through balls with ease, with the right weight. Which is what you would expect for someone with 86 short passing, his 70 long passing doesn't reflect his actual better passing. Physically he's in a good area having 85 stamina and 76 stamina, if you think physical is an important stat for a "5,9" striker, I would definitely recommend a Hawk. I personally am content with the physical stats as I see him as a Mexican Correa, due to his dribbling which i will get on to. Sanchez's dribbling is near perfect. His 93 agility is well reflected in game, I will however say the average body type does make him a little less responsive to L stick dribbling, but is barely noticeable. Sanchez's Pace is incredible, if you want to maximise his pace and shooting, simply give him a hunter. If and when he's in behind, Kimpembe and Varane can't even catch up with, his runs and pace make a deadly combination.

- Weak foot volleys
- Average body type
Was looking for a new striker to add to my team and when his SBC came out thought nothing of it as was never a huge fan of his other cards however when I saw he had been given a 4* upgrade on his SM I was intrigued.
Completed him with fodder I had in my club and was worth it. His shooting is phenomenal when he's hitting it with his left foot and can strike the ball well with his right too. Only issues I've found with his shooting is he can struggle to hit the ball cross goal with his weak foot when you aren't using timed shooting. His dribbling is good enough that it can allow him to stop and go when he needs and can do step overs well enough to allow you to speed boost past defenders. Does get bullied off the ball when he is pressured by an elite defender with high strength.
His positioning in the box for cutbacks, passes, crosses is exceptional. One of the best cards I've used for this when you have his instructions set up right.
Have played him as a sole striker and also as a partnership with another forward with better passing and I found that he is far better in a two striker set up (I think this shows with the negative reviews on him having him being used as a sole striker).
Played most of my games with him in Div 3 but some in Div 4 too. Passing good enough to play it back to allow him to run through.

Can't play effectively as a sole striker.
He finishes EVERYTHING. Chip shot , power shot, inside the box, outside the box. If you green time even a mid shot it will go in. For the first half of using him I used a engine which did not show much improvements but he is amazing with a hunter. 85 composure is a lie as if it’s on his left foot he’ll finish it no matter how much people are around him. He’s great as a tap and go striker but can also be used as a playmaker due to his dribbling. He’s pairs well with a shifty striker such as griezmann or correa. His body type ruins his dribbling a little bit but not everyone’s an mbappe. If he’s not in strike, he’s useless, even in a 4321 he ghosts and seems to play as a cam or wing back. I honestly don’t know if I still regret not doing ramos but sanchez just has it all. He’s not too crazy but he doesn’t lack anywhere.

Hugo Sanchez used to be absolutely insane for me in game. I started off with him scoring around 150 goals in 100 games and destroying all defenders. Now he feels sluggish and unable to get round people. I first used him with a hunter and he was great. I switched to engine for a while to boost his dribbling and he was slow and unresponsive so i went back to hunter but he still feels bad. For anyone wondering if they should do him he is not worth it right now, you can get other better strikers for much cheaper.
Strong shooting
Slow
Dribbling is poor
Weak
Small (cant win headers)
Awful passing
This is one of the best strikers in game. He can come short, run in behind, whatever you want! I play with 2 strikers up front and he is brilliant. He will finish every chance he gets due to his high finishing and high shot power. I do recommend though to use a fast and pacey striker next to him because his passing is not bad. The only thing that could be better would be his strenght, he will get bodied in game very often, specially with all the meta CB's
Will finish everything
Pace Is really nice but could be better
dribbling is awesome, specially his agility
He can score from corners
He isn't strong
Great striker, bangs in goals constantly for me
-Incredible left foot shot
-Great, responsive, left stick dribbling
-Surprisingly good on headers for his height
-Good weak foot
-Great pace
-Lacks a bit physically
-Doesn't have any 5 stars
-Not anything special passing wise
I bought sanchez 2 days ago, needless to say my expectations were very high. Despite his agility rating, it's complicated to overtake his opponents, he often loses the ball in small spaces. I think his big weak point is his physique, he's a good shooter, he has an average finish considering his value. It may be my way of playing but I do not recommend investing 600k on this player, for comparison I much prefer smolarek, brolin or forlan
Good shooting
Good positioning
Good speed / dribling
Too weak in 1v1
Not accurate
The gen value does note reflect the in game feeling
This is one of the worst ST or CF I have ever used. I did him the hour he was released because his stats looked crazy good at face value. I used so many club legends and wasted so much fodder on this card just for him to heavily underperform in almost every game (I'm division 2, but I was div 3 when I used him). DO NOT COMPLETE
- His card looks cool
- Positioning is unreal for some reason
- Dribbling (feels fast but loses the ball way too easily)
- Physicality ( a slight touch will send him flying)
- Shooting
- Doesn't feel like 99-97 pace (Hunter and Hawk)
