FC 24 87 FC Pro Live Hirving Lozano Player Review - Cop or Flop

It’s Friday and that can only mean one thing… Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s promo day! Another brand new promo has been released today and it is the FC Pro Live Promo. Bit of a mouthful but we’ll go with it.

What makes this promo special? Well the respective cards are linked to EAFC Pro Players, and based on their performance in the competition, these cards can get some really good upgrades. Today the card we have come to focus on is none other than Hirving Lozano!

You can check out the card here!

This Lozano card has a +3 upgrade on his most recent inform cards, which the first point I would like to make here is that I am glad that this promo hasn’t given the cards weak upgrades which then rely heavily on the card getting an upgrade. Going into this review, I think it’s better to look at this card for what it is and not consider the upgrade options. (Though I will of course touch on that later).

Chucky joins the unlikely attack of Centurions Rooney and a freshly evolved Mavididi and what an attack force this was. The wingers absolutely bolted up the sides putting it on a plate for Rooney. It felt unstoppable. That’s before even delving into that very favourable whipped pass playstyle that Lozano comes with.

The choice in chemstlye is a tough one. For me, I opted for the Hawk, this completed the pace whilst also giving a boost to shooting and dribbling. My reason for this choice was due to the concern that Lozano has a 3* weak foot, so boosting his shooting filled me with doubt as to whether or not it will matter in key situations. Whereas I could be confident that relying on pace and dribbling meant he would get the job done. Otherwise, Deadeye is also a very suitable chemstyle to go with.

Here are the following segments to unlock the FC Pro Lozano SBC:

#1 - 83- Rated Squad
Minimum OVR of 86: Min 1
Squad Rating - 83
Pack Return - Gold Pack

#2 - Top Form
Inform Players - Min. 1
Squad Rating - 84
Pack Return - Prime Mixed Players Pack

Whilst these aren’t high-rated requirements. Having that 86-rated card and the Inform really gives it, what I feel, an unnecessary bump in price. Because to complete this SBC you will need to fork out 120k. That feels pretty steep considering that if this card was on the market, he’d likely already be half that price by now.

How did he perform in-game?

+ Pace was of course an absolute standout for me here. He just had this ability to burst away out of no where and create some incredible chances.

+ Passing was one for me that actually shocked me, having the Whipped Pass playstyle really boosted this stat up for me because the crossing and over the top through balls were so silky to play with.

+ Finally Dribbling felt really good, especially utilising left stick dribbling as he held the ball really well.

/ Shooting was neither good or bad to me, the 3* WF really lets him down but found that having the Trivella Playstyle really saved this.

- Strength is the obvious downside here, At 61 Strength you can expect Chucky to get knocked off pretty easily.

Hirving Lozano - Cop or Flop?

So before I get into this, I mentioned I would bring up the upgrade process. Because whilst my decision won’t be considering the upgrade factor. It’s not something we can ignore. In order for this Lozano card to get upgrades, you will need to follow Team Gullit’s Manu Bachoore in his games. If Manu is able to succeed in this tourney and come out with the win, Lozano goes all the way to a 91-rated card with the additions of an extra position and 2 more playstyles alongside that. Now I won’t pretend to have great knowledge on the pro scene, but I feel it’s fair to say it’s quite unlikely we will see this happen. Not impossible! Just unlikely. I do think however we could see some upgrades on this card.

But, the price bothers me. At this moment in time, the Eredivisie doesn’t quite have any players that compete with the countless other players in the game. So getting Lozano chem for me felt a little bit tricky and found me relying on Icons. Which isn’t a great start when you have to spend over 120k on a card. Of course, if you have gone down the Evo path of a PSV/ Mexico fan then maybe this is more suited for you.

The card felt good in game, but at this point there are many other options that are just going to do a much better job and as I mentioned previously, this card would probably end up being half the price on the market already. With Black Friday coming up then maybe you’ll have the fodder just to complete this anyway but I would suggest otherwise saving your coins.

Verdict = FLOP
