Fantasy FC 90 Ludovic Giuly Player Review - Cop or Flop

EA delivered some content tonight in the form of the 87+ Hero Player Pick & a Fantasy Hero Player SBC, 90-rated Giuly is here and he's costing just under 100,000 coins so if we're just looking at the item initially it seems like pretty good value especially when you remember his 88-rated UCL version was 70,000 coins prior to this new SBC's release.

The Fantasy Heroes live upgrade paths are abit different from the Fantasy FC player's and Giuly will be represented by AS Monaco who in their next 4 games have; PSG(1st), Strasbourg(14th), Lorient(16th) and Metz(17th). So with that in mind you'd certainly expect the 2 wins upgrade but the 11 goals in the next 4 game's isn't look as likely. 

This Giuly comes with some interesting Playstyle+'s, Flair+ and Acrobatic+... I'm not to sure what to say about that other than they wouldn't of been my choices! he does have some solid normal playstyles though in the form of: Finesse Shot & Whipped Pas.

Giuly replaced 93-Garrincha who was already himself playing ahead of POTM Salah & IF Hansen so he was going to have to really impress to keep his spot for any future games...

How did he perform in game?

+ Shooting, I don't know how best to phrase this other than he score's goals that he really shouldn't? I'd advise checking out the clips to see what I mean, he just seems capable of scoring from any angle even with 'weakened shots', the ball just somehow would find a way into the back of the net, can't complain.

+ Crossing, good crossing stat and the whipped pass playstyle... you know good deliveries are coming.

/ Pace, he's given 92 as a base stat in this department and I used the hunter chem style on him but even with all that he just felt sluggish in possesion. 

/ Positioning, for a player of his level his base positioning was just disappointing, When I use Hansen/Garrincha they make such good natural runs but with Giuly I felt I had to force him to get involved.

- Strength, Giuly is 5'5" and has 53 strength...you already know he's going to get dominated by most who get hold of him, premium full back's dominate him.

Like I mentioned at the start the price is absolutely fair, I dont think though that this item in it's current state is worth using, I'm confident most of the player base will have a better winger option already in their clubs, If Monaco manage to help him get them uprades he may become worth it but as the card currently is...it's not worth having.

I wouldn't recommend rushing into this SBC either way it having 13 days remaining, Monaco play PSG in a few days and if they do pull of the win in that game, maybe then its worth revisiting this SBC.

Price is good but if you already have a premium RM/RW, avoid.
