No More Sophia Smith in FC 25??

No more Sophia Smith in FC 25… Don’t worry, she’s not going anywhere but has changed her name. 

The Team of The Year Attacker recently married partner Michael Wilson, a wide receiver in the NFL. With this comes the surname change and unlike others (Alex Morgan), she opted to take her husband's name on the back of her shirt. So no more Sophia Smith in FC 25, but instead Sophia Wilson. 

Sophia isn’t the only name change in FC 25, as Jamie Gittens has dropped the ‘Bynoe’ from his surname. Gittens explained that his father had suggested it as it is shorter, although both parts of the name come from his father.

They may not be the only changes we see, as during the winter break both Lynn Williams and Lindsey Horan also got married and have changed their surnames to (Lynn) Biyendolo and (Lindsey) Heaps. Both will debut their new names for the USWNT at the SheBelievesCup later this month, although Lindsey will stick with Horan for Lyon.
