FC 25 Team of The Week 27 Predictions

ByAaron
17-Mar-25 16:40

With a score of 15/23 last week, we aim to replicate those numbers consistently. If this prediction is anything to go by, there are plenty of players to get excited about! Whether it's Fernandes’ consistent performances for United, Osimhen netting a hat-trick for Galatasaray, or the return of the NWSL bringing another Banda promotional inclusion, this week’s selection promises plenty of excitement.

Peter Gulacsi - GK - 82 > 86 OVR

Nine saves and clean sheet  /  Leipzig 2 - Dortmund 0  /  9.8 Sofascore Rating

Sometimes, save totals can be misleading, but Gulácsi was simply unbeatable this weekend. His nine saves equated to a total of 2.7 expected goals, highlighting just how good he was. While I don’t have access to Kicker ratings, I am confident he will be named Keeper of the Week and ultimately earn a spot in TOTW 27.

Ellie Carpenter - RB - 83 > 87 OVR

Two goals  /  Lyon 8 - Reims 1  /  8.9 Sofascore Rating

Lyon ran riot while hosting Reims this weekend, with several of their players in line for a potential IF. With plenty of competition in forward areas this week, I think Carpenter stands the best chance. The right-back scored two of Lyon’s eight goals, and while she failed to keep a clean sheet, the attacking contributions often stand out more.

Yeray Alvarez - CB - 81 > 87 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Sevilla 0 - Athletic Club 1  /  8 Sofascore Rating

When a central defender scores the only goal of a game in one of the top five divisions, they are highly likely to receive an IF. I expect that to be the case again here, with Álvarez scoring the decisive goal to help Athletic Club secure a 1-0 away win over Sevilla.

William Saliba - CB - 87 > 88 OVR

Clean sheet and MOTM  /  Arsenal 1 - Chelsea 0  /  8 Sky Rating

With Liverpool now looking all but confirmed for the title, all Arsenal can do is keep winning their matches. First up was a difficult match against Chelsea. Merin scored the only goal of the game, but it was Saliba who stood out from the back, claiming MOTM for his performance. With it being a high-profile match and the Frenchman still without an IF to his name, I can see him sneaking in here.

Igor Paixao - LW - 77 > 87 OVR

Three goals, two assists  /  Twente 2 - Feyenoord 6  /  9 VI Rating

It was a simply ludicrous performance from Paixão down the left wing for Feyenoord. With three goals and two assists, I have no choice but to award him one of the featured spots this week. His card looks very usable, which is an added bonus. It’s rare for VI to award a rating of 9 or higher, which shows just how good he was on Sunday.

Bruno Fernandes - CM - 87 > 88 OVR

One goal, two assists  /  Leicester 0 - Man United 3  /  9 Sky Rating

While United have struggled for large parts of this season, one consistent figure has been Fernandes, a fact that has been amplified in recent weeks. His latest performance highlighted his importance to the club, as he scored a goal and provided two assists to spearhead United to a 3-0 away win.

Tijani Reijnders - CM - 82 > 87 OVR

Goal and assist  /  AC Milan 2 - Como 1  /  7.5 Gazzetta Rating

It has been a successful campaign for Como, who are establishing themselves as a mid-table Serie A side this season. While they failed to pick up points this weekend, a 2-1 away loss to AC Milan shows that they continue to be competitive. Reijnders stood out in the victory, scoring one and assisting another.

Anthony Elanga - RM - 76 > 87 OVR

Two goals  /  Ipswich 2 - Forest 4  /  9 Sky Rating

Forest edge ever closer to Champions League qualification as the relegation battle looks to be over. Elanga scored his first-ever Premier League double as Forest secured an entertaining 4-2 win over relegation-doomed Ipswich Town. Still without a league win in 2025, Forest were expected to win, but it is still a result they needed to take.

Fabian Ruiz - CM - 82 > 88 OVR

Two assists  /  PSG 3 - Marseille 1  /  8 L’equipe Rating

Ligue 1 was of extremely low quality this weekend, with just one player receiving a rating higher than 7 from L'Équipe. That player was Ruiz, who provided two assists in PSG’s 3-1 win over Marseille, making him likely the only inclusion from the division this week.

Victor Osimhen - ST - 87 > 89 OVR

Hat trick  /  Galatasaray 4 - Antalyaspor 0  /  9.5 Sofascore Rating

When Osimhen announced his move to Galatasaray, I expected to see him feature numerous times in TOTW, but this is only his second inclusion. That is all but guaranteed, however, after his treble helped Galatasaray to a comfortable 4-0 win.

Pernille Harder - ST - 84 > 88 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  Munich 3 - Wolfsburg 1  /  9.5 Sofascore Rating

A SIF looks to be on the way for Harder after her first, which came all the way back in TOTW 2. The Danish forward was involved in all three Munich goals during what could be a pivotal win in deciding the title this season. Fully expect a Munich IF and the decision looks clear.

Substitutes

Juan Miranda - LB - 76 > 85 OVR

Two assists and clean sheet  /  Bologna 5 - Lazio 0  /  7.5 Gazzetta Rating

This was a crucial game in determining the ascendancy for Champions League football next season. Bologna excelled from the start, putting five past Lazio without reply. Miranda played a key role in the victory, providing two assists while also helping to keep a clean sheet in an impressive performance.

Ramon Terrats - RM - 75 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  Osasuna 1 - Getafe 2  /  8.7 Sofascore Rating

Getafe backed up their shock win over Atlético Madrid by securing a 2-1 win away at Osasuna. This duo of results has helped lift them away from the relegation zone, with the Spanish side now seemingly safe from the drop. Terrats did all the damage this week, scoring both of Getafe’s goals.

Alessane Plea - CAM - 77 > 85 OVR

Three goals, one assist  /  Bremen 2 - Gladbach 4  /  1 Kicker Rating

One of the easiest selections this week came with Plea. The Frenchman was involved in all four of Gladbach’s goals as they recorded a 4-2 away win over Werder Bremen. Plea’s base card is extremely average, so although he will inevitably make TOTW, I can’t see him also receiving a featured spot.

Ferran Torres - CAM - 80 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  Atletico Madrid 2 - Barcelona 4  /  8 Sofascore Rating

It was a dramatic match between two of the top three in La Liga, with huge implications for the eventual title winners. Atlético took a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute before Torres equalised in the 78th. It then seemed destined to end in a draw, but a late surge from Barcelona saw them score in both the 92nd and 98th minutes to secure what could be a crucial three points by the end of the season.

Barbra Banda - ST - 77 > 87 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  Orlando Pride 6 - Chicago 0  /  9.7 Sofascore Rating

With the NWSL back in action this week, I fully expect EA to award the division an IF. There were a couple of possible choices, but Banda seems the best option. She scored twice and provided an assist as Orlando comfortably beat Chicago 6-0.

Abderrazak Hamdallah - ST - 78 > 87 OVR

Hat trick  /  Al-Shabab 6 - Al-Orobah 0  /  9.4 Sofascore Rating

It has only been five weeks since Hamdallah received his first IF, but the Moroccan appears to have found his shooting boots now, scoring another hat-trick this weekend. Al-Orobah had no answer to the onslaught, with the hosts recording a comfortable 6-0 win.

Jorgen Strand Larsen - ST - 75 > 87 OVR

Two goals  /  Southampton 1 - Wolves 2  /  9 Sky Rating

Wolves record a 2-1 win over Southampton, securing a nine-point gap from the relegation zone and practically guaranteeing their place in the Premier League for next season, while Southampton edge closer to the lowest-ever Premier League points total. Strand Larsen scored both Wolves' goals to secure the three points, making his spot in TOTW seem very likely.

Reserves

Jordan McGhee - RB - 65 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  Dundee United 2 - Dundee 4  /  8.5 Sofascore Rating

Aaron Zehnter - LM - 66 > 85 OVR

Two goals, two assists  /  Paderborn 5 - Kaiserslautern 3  / 1 Kicker Rating

Jovon Makama - RM - 57 > 85 OVR

Three goals, one assist  /  Lincoln 5 - Bristol Rovers 0  /  10 Sofascore Rating

Fabio Miretti - RM - 74 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  Genoa 2 - Lecce 0  /  7.5 Gazzetta Rating

Haji Wright - ST - 73 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Coventry 3 - Sunderland 0  /  10 Sofascore Rating
