TOTW 29 Predictions

TOTW 29 could be a big one with headliner Mbappe leading the way once again, alongside the Frenchman there are also several top tier players with potential IF’s for Sterling, SMS, Skriniar and Sommer around the corner.

Goalkeeper

Yann Sommer – GK - OVR 85>>88
Bundesliga is usually an easy league to predict but with many players, you would expect to feature such as Diaby receiving poor Kicker match ratings the decisions for the division were made very difficult. One player who did receive a strong match rating however was Sommer and in turn looks set to receive his third IF of the season. The Swiss stopped made a total of nine saves to ensure Gladbach came away with something, drawing 1-1 with Mainz.

Defenders

Emerson – RWB - OVR 79>>84
With Spurs coming from behind to hammer Newcastle 5-1 I would fully expect an IF for them on Wednesday, with both Kane and Son unable to receive one it does make the decision difficult however. Both Emerson and Doherty scored from the back while Romero also received high plaudits. Emerson is my punt and could also be the featured player should he make it.

Milan Skriniar – CB - OVR 86>>87
It’s a tightly contested title race in Italy with the top 4 all in contention for the title. Inter played Juventus this weekend in what was a huge match and thus was always likely to yield an IF. Inter came out on top with Hakan scoring the only goal of the game. It's Skriniar who I feel has the best chance of the IF though having claimed the joint highest match rating with a 7 from CB.

Jonny – RWB - OVR 80>>83
Good news for those FantasyFut Jose Sa owners with Wolves grabbing a win straight off the bat via a 2-1 win against Aston Villa. It could have been even better with a double upgrade had they kept the clean sheet but a late penalty denied them of that. Despite losing the clean sheet I still feel that Jonny will obtain an IF having scored one of the goals and being named MOTM.

Midfielders

Diogo Jota – LW - OVR 82>>86
Liverpool continues to pile the pressure onto Manchester City with the point renaming just a gap between the two at the top. Jota was involved in both Liverpool goals, directly scoring the first while winning the penalty for the second. The Portuguese winger was named MOTM and should be in TOTW as a result.

Konrad Laimer – CM - OVR 81>>84
There are several players with higher rated promo cards set to make this week's side. Laimer is another of those players after being named Bundesliga player of the week for his performance during Leipzig’s impressive 4-1 win over Dortmund. The Austrian scored twice and assisted another. While many will be hoping for Nkunku, while he also played well Laimer definitely edges it.

Sergej Milinkovic Savic – CM - OVR 85>>88
A third IF for just a single goal could be seen as generous but with a 12-week gap between now and his last IF I can see it happening. Especially as the Serbian received one of the highest ratings from Gazzetta this week. His goal helped Lazio record a 2-1 win over the IF Sassuolo.

Raheem Sterling – LW - OVR 88>>91
With Liverpool winning during the early kick off the pressure was on City to return to the top of the table via three points. They did exactly that recording a routine 2-0 win over Burnley. Sterling provided the assist on both their goals and with Sky awarding him a 9/10 I can see him picking up his third IF of the year.

Forwards

Kylian Mbappe – ST - OVR 91>>94
Although Mbappe featured as recently as TOTW 24 I just cannot ignore his performance this week. PSG ran away with a 5-1 win over Lorient on Sunday with the Frenchman being involved in all five of the goals, scoring twice himself alongside providing three assists. He really wants that record breaking contract that he is likely to get in the summer.

Morales – ST - OVR 81>>84
With Morales’s Winter Wildcard being so cheap this potential IF is quite pointless but nevertheless the Spaniard deserves his spot in the side having scored twice for Levante as they shocked Villarreal with a 2-0 home win.

Joao Felix – ST - OVR 83>>86
Another player with a higher rated option is Felix although his IF is likely to be significantly cheaper than the 450k which his numbersup card will set you back. The Portuguese forward has been snubbed on numerous occasions for his first IF but finally looks set to receive one after scoring twice for Atletico during their 4-1 win over Aalves on Saturday

Substitutes

Fernando Muslera – GK - OVR 81>>84
Keepers outside of the top five leagues usually get snubbed for fun regardless of how good they have been. With only a few putting in mentionable performances this week however surely Muslera has to feature. The Uruguayan made seven saves in total, including a penalty save to keep Galatasaray’s clean sheet as they recorded a 2-0 home win.

Alexander Djiku – CB - OVR 76>>81
There were very few options from Ligue 1 which were able to make this TOTW and thus I have taken a couple of punts, one of those is Strasbourg’s defender, Djiku, The Ghanian was solid at the back as they recorded a 1-0 win over Lens this weekend with L’equipe awarding him a 7/10

Juanmi – LM - OVR 75>>84
Juanmi has seriously impressed for Real Betis this season, with a player of the month award to his name to show for it. His form has continued since then and he is once again in line for an IF. With two goals and two assists, he is nailed on for the upcoming side. Alex Moreno can feel very hard done by with a goal and assist from LB but I doubt we will see two Betis players.

Andreas Skov Olsen – RW - OVR 72>>82
Skov Olsen has been snubbed a couple of times since moving to Brugge for his SIF and has been in tremendous form since moving to Belgium. Another brilliant performance this weekend saw him providing two assists and as a result, is in line for the IF once again, will he finally get his Brugge IF?

Zeki Amdouni – ST - OVR 64>>74
Although a 6th non gold option is a rarity it has happened on several occasions previous to this and with so many options presenting themselves, I simply had to opt for the 6th player. Amdouni is that player after he scored three times for Lausanne during their 4-1 home win over Servette.

Brennan Johnson – ST - OVR 69>>81
With Johnson receiving a MOTM card in February it means he is classified as a gold option for this side. As a result of his two goals and one assist, we are very likely to see him included instead of him being a fringe candidate in the reserves. His performance came as Nottingham recorded a 4-1 away win over Blackpool which in turn puts them in a very strong place heading into the final parts of the season.

Paul Ebere Onuachu – ST - OVR 79>>84
Although two of Onuachu’s three goals came from the spot I still expect him to receive his second IF of the game on Wednesday. Genk recorded a convincing 5-0 win with the Nigerian forward spearheading them towards victory.

Reserves

Mads Pedersen – RWB - OVR 68>>77
Reserve defenders have been rather difficult to predict this season with players you would expect to get in missing out while often fringe players are getting the nod instead. With one goal, one assist and a clean sheet to his name while playing in one of the top five divisions I simply cannot ignore Pedersen and thus he gets the nod over several other defenders which also managed two goal contributions.

Beto – ST - OVR 74>>80
For the first time in several weeks, there were plenty of hat tricks to choose from for the reserves, perhaps the highest profiled one comes with Beto after he scored three for Udinese during their convincing 5-1 win at home to Cagliari. The Portuguese striker was named MOTM from Gazzetta picking up an 8/10 match rating.

Terrence Boyd – ST - OVR 68>>76
Although the title is looking very unlikely for Kaiserslautern automatic promotion is getting more and more likely with their current strong form. Their latest result saw them defeat Duisberg 5-1 and Boyd scored three times within that match and thus is likely to feature in TOTW 29.

Alexander Tveter – ST - OVR 62>>72
The hat tricks just keep coming, over the Norway now where their season got underway. Sandefjord got off to a great start with Tveter scoring all three of their goals as they recorded a 3-1 away win over Haugesund.

Alexander Jeremejeff – ST - OVR 66>>75
First things first, what a name Jeremejeff is. The Swedish striker put in a performance equivalent to that of his name, scoring three times to help his side, Hacken, to a 4-2 home win over AIK. As they kickstart their season in a perfectly possible way.
