FIFA 23 Showdown Series: Ceballos & Molina Predictions, Upgrades & Fixture Info

Showdown Series has kicked off in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, with the Real & Atletico Madrid pairing of Dani Ceballos & Nahuel Molina being released into Squad Building Challenges.

Throughout Showdown Series, we’ll be receiving a daily Showdown SBC for some of the most exciting upcoming fixtures, with a +2 boost available to the winner, or a +1 to both if the points are shared.

Let’s dive into the 1st Showdown SBC of Showdown Series, and give our takes on not only Dani Ceballos & Nahuel Molina, but how we see the Madrid derby playing out!

How Do Showdown SBCs Work?

For those that are unfamiliar with how Showdown SBCs work, it’s quite a simple concept.

A Showdown SBC consists of 2 SBCs featuring players from rival teams that have an upcoming big fixture - in this case, Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid, the Madrid derby.

FUT Players can choose to complete either, or both of these SBCs, however Showdown cards upgrade based on the result of the upcoming fixture.

Is the Dani Ceballos SBC Worth It?

The Ceballos SBC is going to cost you around 160,000 coins, and currently isn’t looking like a popular SBC with just 30% of people choosing to upvote it. The item comes with a weak foot upgrade up to 4*, and has notable attributes in both dribbling and passing.

Is the Nahuel Molina SBC Worth It?

The Molina SBC is a little cheaper than the Ceballos one, the full back will cost you around 120,000 coins, this one also isn’t looking too popular with nearly 80% of people down voting this particular SBC. Molina’s in game stats actually look quite nice with the shadow chem style applied and if this item was to get the full upgrade it could become one of the better options for a La Liga RB.

Real Madrid VS Atletico Madrid Info & Predictions

Real Madrid & Atletico Madrid kicks off at 17:30 UK time on Saturday, February 25th at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The last time these two sides met in the Copa Del Rey Quarter Final in January, Real swept aside their Madrid rivals in a 3-1 win after extra-time.

However, with both Ferland Mendy & David Alaba sidelined through injury, Atletico may fancy their chances, especially when considering they’ve racked up 5 wins with clean sheets in their last 6 in La Liga, conceding only to Getafe in February.

It’s poised for a fiery encounter between the two, with Real looking to hunt down the newly knocked out of Europe Barcelona, and Atletico looking to secure their Champions League seat for next season.
