WOW. What a player! He is an insane CAM/CM who has a lot of attacking presence. I have only played a few games with him (Squad Battles and Div Rivals) but he is clearly world class. Let's break this down:
PACE: Quick, but not speedy. Don't expect a Mo Salah solo run that blazes through the defense. However, you can expect incisive runs in which Gotze bursts into space.
SHOOTING: Better than the stats tell. He's no Ronaldo, but his close finishing and attack positioning come up big. He is precise and has yet to miss a sitter for me. As for 30-yard screamers, there is the off chance that they'll fly in, but don't expect it every time.
DRIBBLING: Smooth. Enough said. Hardly a stray touch that leaves him vulnerable.Those 4* skills are a nice touch as well (see what I did there?)
PASSING: I bet if I was better at FIFA, he would always have 100% accuracy. Unfortunately, I am sometimes dumb and misplace a pass. The ones he does make are perfectly weighted and slotted through on the attack.
DEFENDING: Surprisingly good. He did win several balls back up top, and his interceptions are very consistent. Don't expect any bone-crunching tackles though.
PHYSICAL: Sadly, this is somewhat of an L. The stamina is good enough for one game, but in extra time he'll be needing a sub. The strength is good enough for a CAM (but he doesn't really need it for an attacking role).
In conclusion, he is a near perfect CAM. If you need a fast counter, he'll deliver. If you want a slow buildup, he'll still deliver. The packs are a bonus as well to make back the coins you spent. It's a shame he left Bayern though.

So i saw this sbc and i was bored with my full pl team, i sold vvd and deciced to do this and oh boy, what a desicion it was. I play him on this team (https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/1505299)
that is the ingame format the squad coming to match is (https://www.futbin.com/19/squad/1505534) and then what can i say about him. In my team 4231 he as a middle cam plays good passing combos with cdms wing cams and striker to get to shooting positions, also he gives through passes on goal with hell of an accuracy, he is better passer than potm hazard. And with his great positioning he is always on the right place on the passing combos also to shoot one timers with his great shooting on hunter. Only cons ive found is his stamina as he moves alot(not that much of a con as i dont run with him on the ball that much) and his pace(ok but wont beat the meta cbs like bailly, vvd and sanchez). Also his dribbling is godlike with great stats and 4star skills. Also the 4star wf helps alot

This card is 100k, but for many people it will be cheaper if they have invested or whatever. I'm not sure I would pay full price even though I run a BL side, but I would value him at around 70K. I played about 10 Weekend League games with this card at CAM and I have to say it is really solid. He feels different than you would expect, but you can get used to his card within the first game or so. If you get him and don't like him at first, try changing his chemistry style a few times, that helped me unlock his potential. Added bonus is that a good hyperlink to Reus will be useful to any team to keep that in mind. Overall, I would recommend trying him if you already can get him for less than 75K or have so much money that 100K isn't a lot.

I have had a Bundesliga squad all year and I skipped out on completing the Marco Reus POTM SBC because I figured that he will probably be getting another 2-3 TOTW'S and a TOTS. However, when I saw this Gotze SBC go live I knew I was going to complete it regardless of the price. The SBC itself ended up being fairly cheap for just about any flashback player but especially for a player of Mario's quality!
I have just wrapped up using Gotze in all 30 FUT Champs games and feel that I can now provide a quality review of his In-Game performance.
There are a few traits about this card that really catch your eye right from the start - Elite passing & dribbling, 4 star skills, 4 star weak foot. For just about any CAM or CF that's exactly what you're looking for if you're going to play the most competitive modes that FIFA can offer. I chose to apply a Hunter chemistry card to him because I felt that if he could be just that little bit quicker he would be extremely effective right behind Timo Werner and Lewandowski. I can't lie...I was spot on.
Apply a Hunter card to Gotze and you're looking at a Pace rating of 90 to go along with 88 Shooting. Insane!
Keep in mind that this Gotze, regardless of any chem style you place on him, has base stats that feature such gems as:
- Better Positioning, Volleys, Short/Long Passing, Balance, Ball Control, Composure, Defending, Strength, and Aggression than Dybala and TOTW Reus.
- Better Positioning, Finishing, Volleys, and all Passing categories than both Mertens and Gabriel Jesus.
- Higher Dribbling in all 5 categories than both Martial (Except "Dribbling" +2) and Ozil.
In-Game Summary
Gotze felt quick, especially laterally. His sprint speed was plenty to get by most Weekend League defenders and do some serious damage in the final 3rd. The fact that Mario has the Finesse Shot trait makes him absolutely deadly just outside the box when he utilizes his 90 Positioning (95 with Hunter). He always seemed to find the right space and make the perfect run after a 1-2 with Werner or Lewandowski. There were plenty of times where I attempted low driven crosses with either Kimmich or Alaba and I swear Gotze was able to just have that ball become glued to his foot and gather himself for an unstoppable far corner shot with his 91 Finishing.
Conclusion
A joy to use in the Weekend league and a refreshing item to pick up for those of us with Bundesliga teams. I don't pan on replacing him from my CAM spot for a long time this season. Honestly he was worth at least twice the amount that the SBC ended up costing me. Love it!

Because of the upcoming Black Friday Event I sold my whole Team and made a little Low-Budget Team arround Reus POTM. Then this SBC came out and I just had to complete it. First I was a little bit worried if the 100k I had to invest will be worth for this player, espacially because of his stamina. After 9 games in Division Rivals with him I can absolutely recommand him. He scored 5 and assited another 8 in a 4-1-2-1-2(2) formation as the ZOM. He has a increadible overview, the ball always close to his foot, is able to score awesome finessshots and can also maintain the ball against opponents here and there. Only problem is his stamina of course. I normally have to sub him in 75th, depends on the score at this time

Stamina and maybe the League. I find it difficult to biuld a team arround him with Reus POTM, but this is maybe because of the formation.
my god this guy is amazing ive only played about 20 games but hes already made quite the impact. I couldnt win any games. i was regretting buying hazard and everything else. Thats when gotze came. he is amazing at CAM. Ive tried the likes of De Bruyne, eriksen and isco. Gotze outshines them all.
- price - for only 120,000 considering you have no spare players in your club, he is worth it. the packs arent bad either.
- acceleration, gets a nice burst of speed past defenders.
- agility, can beat so many defenders with simple turns
- passing, every pass is on point, no joke.
- stamina, but everyone seems to be lacking stamina these days
So this is my first review and I am not a native, so ignore my bad english. I love to have BuLi Squads, but it isn't very popular and players' ratings are too low as usual. I did not do the Reus SBC because I used a different team and he was quite expensive. I always use squads with CAMs and so I did the Götze SBC. A lot of people say he is too expensive but he isn't. The packs are pretty nice but I got only crap. But he is worth the coins. His passing is extraordinary. His shooting too. His dribbling is even better, but he is a little bit slow and lacks of stamnia. He scored 9 and assissted 2 in 10 games but this is not his real qualitiy. He is a real playmaker. He can pass and is always in the right place. I absolute love this beast!

Pace (81): he feels no faster than 81 (had to apply hawk chem, otherwise could only run past kross)
Shooting (84) : He is not as clinical as firminho, cavani, lewa, nor he is IF SUSO with finesse shots. Nevertheless, it won't disappoint you, as his IG shooting is still better than a lot of strikers. With Hawk, his shot power (88) really helps scoring those outsidetheboxes even without finesse.
Passing (87): Worse than eriksen, better than most, Here, I have to dissect this stat as his Short Passing (91) feels exactly what it is. I've seen some great passes from tight places from him. Crossing (81) is a new meta in fifa19, but he can't deliver exceptional crosses that you would think of when you look at 87 passing. Long passes (85) is also quite good, but not as OP in fifa 19, and it balances his stat IG. OP Crossing (81) = Not so OP Long Passing (85) both not good enough His vision (91) helps him see those runs, but he fails to deliver a proper ball for a volley, or a game changing pass.
Dribbling (89): He is extremely slippery on the ball and can push himself through defs. Great in tight spaces. Acceleration helps a lot. However, I believe gomez has a great dribbling, (88), and Gotze is nowhere near him IG. He better holds the ball in tight places, but when it comes to speedy moves, he feels more like 82.
Defending (64) probably because he is so slippery, he often wins balls back right after the loss. Not a defender by any means.
Physical (70): His strength (71) does feel below 80. He will never push off players of the ball, nor he can hold to them for more than 2 sec (which still can be very useful). The biggest problem here is his height.
- His dribbling is great, but there are better dribblers IG with 88-90 dribbling stat.
- he is a great compact CAM, that can hold up the ball in tight places (due to his dribbling) giving your forwards time to make a run. Then makes pretty good passes and runs in open spaces.
- He is still great, but not the player that you want to make a team around. Definitely worth doing SBC, as you get from 50-60% on return from packs (if you are extremely unlucky) to even making a good profit.
Shot power and long shots feel higher IG, can score easy moment out of the box
He is deadly in the box (no headers) and can even be a threat outside of the box.
Make sure you use his curves and volleys
- His height and low strength could give you a hope that he is quick, but this is not true
Mario Gotze is the GOAT on CAM. With a Maestro chem style he really feels like the German Messi (except pace).
I scored 8 goals in 6 games and assisted 10(!) His longshots are very OP (in FIFA 19 every longshot is OP, but okay...)
I think you missed the boat when you didn't completed the SBC. With the players I had in my club and the packs I got it was 30k.
But it was worth the 115k.!

Well worth the coins spent on the squad builder. Currently using him as a CAM in a very budget Bundesliga team, and he's incredible. Very accurate shooting from anywhere, great passing too. Enough stamina to last a whole match and extra time where needed, and best of all, he's got awesome dribbling (likely due to the high agility and balance stats), he's just so quick off the mark and beats players with ease. Even his defensive stats aren't too bad.
I'll mention that he's pretty weak, and not great in the air, but you're clearly clueless about the game if you'd expect him to be good in these areas. Overall, well worth doing the SBC I think as Bundesliga is lacking in quality high rated players this year.
