I did the weekly objective for this card to replace my inform El Shaarawy which I loved using but i can say that doing this card was not a mistake. His pace is unbelievable, his acceleration is immense. Also compared to El Shaarawy his shooting and passing are so much better than El Shaarawy. He is always cutting in form the wing to either smash it home or tap in a cutback. I'm currently struggling to find a usable striker in the Serie A until i can buy Prime Vieri and considering using him as a striker while I wait because he has been that prolific.
Pace, can beat most defenders in FUT champs that i have come against
His finishing is up there most strikers
His crossing ability is also top notch
His workrates also make him a perfect attacker
He also never runs out of energy with his 99 stamina
3* skills, the thing that the EL Shaarawy card had over this card was his skills moves. I've just learned to grit my teeth and try and ignore it.

At left wing I have two untradeable players I really enjoy, red 88 Anderson and POTM Sterling. Did the Gervinho challenge as I'm building towards Prime Moments Maldini and anything to cheapen it is welcome. I then played a game with him and oh my goodness, he surpassed every expectation I had of him. I've been trying out a few formations recently and he's played as a CAM in a 41212 during the Weekend League (Elite 3 finish with 24 wins) and as a LCAM in last weeks Rivals at around 2450 Elo, so he's tested against very good opposition.
As the CAM in a 41212 he makes some of the craziest runs I've seen, one second he's well behind the play, next second he's through on goal having broken in behind the backline. At LCAM his rapidness has the full back beaten everytime there's space in behind - I thought I'd miss Anderson or Sterling's skill moves when trying to beat a player 1v1, but Gervinho is so agile and quick it more than makes up for this.
Overall he is without doubt the quickest player I've used and his agility means he is very good at turning in tight situations making him an adept dribbler in tight spots. His finishing is deceptively good, especially around the edge of the area - his finishing feels better than his face stats suggest and 30 goals from 66 games is a very good return from someone who hasn't played as a striker at all, although I have no doubt he could do a job there. Don't let Gervinho rot in your club, you're missing out on a surprisingly brilliant player and he has usurped Anderson/ Sterling from the starting line up and he is a player who can genuinely change the course of a game by himself.
His pace is just ridiculous. He's not just a rudderless speed boat, he makes really effective runs to burst into space leaving defenders in his wake and punishing high lines.
Okay, so my opponent has drop back and one depth, he can't use his pace? True enough, but the way he turns on the ball is a delight. Left stick dribbling/ fake shots/ drag backs are all he needs to manoeuvre to find space to do something.
Deceptively good shooting, 30 goals in 66 games playing as CAM/LCAM - maybe 20 of those games have been as a substitute which just makes it look that little bit more impressive. He's especially good at shots from the edge of the area or making late runs into the box beyond his marker for a simple tap in.
Chance creation, his passing isn't a particular strength as such, however he has enough about him to pop up with important assists, although a lot of this derives from his excellent positioning and his ability to create space, so he finds that extra little yard in important positions to make the important final pass. However, he will not be making ridiculous Pirloesque eye of the needle 50 yard defense splitting balls.
Stamina, playing as a central CAM I always find whoever I play there tires out a lot quicker than I'd hope for, but Gervinho can keep going for days and he has enough in the tank to put in a shift for 120 minutes in this position.
Not so much a pro, but certainly not a con given the role he is expected to play - and I've noticed it listed as a con in another review so I felt it was pertinent to mention this here - his physical presence is beyond what's expected. Despite being average height and not having top end jumping or strength, he's managed to score a couple of headers (although crossing isn't really a big part of my game) and he has enough strength to hold his own against the typical full back - although a Van Dijk etc. is going to flatten him.
Skill moves are an obvious one, at first I felt a little exposed trying to cut in without doing the occasional trick, but his raw athleticism more than makes up for this.
His weak foot isn't the greatest, but to be honest, I haven't noticed it to the extent that I've noticed other 3* weak foot players such as Gabriel Jesus.
He isn't the best possible player in his position. With Futmas Mbappe, FFS Vinicius Jnr, Moments Del Piero/ Ronaldinho etc. there are players you can make an argument for as to being the best LW in the game, Gervinho is not at that level, which is why he gets 4.5 stars as an overall. However, I do think he is in the tier below that and for a free card he is certainly a good option to free up coins to strengthen in other areas and he is a player more than capable of holding his own at an Elite level in Weekend League and in D1, I am evidence of this.
Did you see it? Yeah Gervinho just passed by.. lightning fast he is! The fastest player I've used this year. If you know how to tick on the sprint button he outpaces everyone. The downside with doing this is that he pushes the ball very far from his foot. I've scored bangers with this guy and I've missed sitters.. Some moments I want him out of my team and a few moments later I think without him it wouldn't be possible.
He is that kind of card..
Even if you're not planning to use him in your main team he is a great super sub, that extra boost of pace is lethal in the last 20 minutes of the match.
I'm using him as a LAM he's doing the job there.
Played 17 games with him. Scored 14 Goals and 8 assists, since I have a strong team around him I'm happy with his contribution to the team.

When i saw this weekly objective i was doubting about doing it or not but here i am, writing this review for the peolple who are still thinking if it's worth it. as the title says he surprised me, mostly his dribbling, having used mbappe i can say he is the Serie A version of him (obviously without the 4*/5*) . i used him few matches because the objective ends on friday so this review could make sense. going further into his stats i played him with maestro chem style as LAM on a 4-2-3-1, his pace really feels 96, he can get away easily from defenders. his shooting is normal he will score the 1 on 1 and has nice long shots. His passing is good especially crosses. As i said before his dribbling is his best attribute, although you'll not be able to spam croquetas everywhere his ball roll is amazing cause this guy carries the ball always close to his feet. defending is not important, maybe heading accuracy only that's actually good for a LW, he can score that crosses to the second post in combination with his 80 jumping. Physically perfect stamina, will last 90 or 120 minutes, he is not very strong neither aggresive. If you are reading this and still got time do this objective, specially if you have a Serie A team DO IT, the only player that compares to his playstyle is douglas costa UCL live card and it's expensive as hell.
I know this card was a challenge from long ago and there is no way of getting it anymore but maybe this review will convince you to keep this card instead of trading it in for an sbc or whatever. Ever since I got this card I have used it as a super sub in pretty much every WL/div rivals game I have played and this guy has been insane. The amount of times this man has turned games around completely is crazy. Sub this guy on while you're down a goal and he will do everything possible to win you the game. He is by far the fastest player I have used this year. I don't know what makes him feel so rapid but he is pretty much Usain Bolt. His pace matched with his good dribbling stats just make him a huge threat to your opponents tired defense in the late game. Also, his relatively high shooting stats helps him score loads of goals. He will even pop in a header once in a while due to his decent jumping and heading accuracy. In 354 games he has 101 goals and 91 assists, that's 192 goal contributions for a player that comes on for the last 20-30 mins of the game. I had always wanted to write a review on this guy and I chose to do it now because I just subbed him on while I was down 3-2 and I won 4-3. So, if you have this guy and are not subbing him on every game, what are you doing?
Pace - As I said earlier, this guy is the fastest player I have used all year and easily gets through defenders, especially when they are tired.
Shooting - He finishes most of his shots in the box and overall good shooter.
Dribbling - Great dribbler, very good on the ball
Passing - Passing clearly isn't his best asset but he can pass the ball well.
Defending - Obviously defending is not why you sub Gervinho on, however he does get back and defend pretty well in the late stages of the game
Stamina - 99, absolute engine
3* skills and WF - I honestly never notice the skill deficit because all you have to do with this guy is run, however the weak foot can be poor sometimes but has never really been an issue.
