So this is my first review and I have now used this card for over 500 games soooo I thought I could start here! First of all, he is an absolute beast, packed him out of div rivals rewards and immediately went straight into my team, in my first game because I was trying him out I could see how good he was but his dribbling needed an upgrade so I put an engine on him which fixed everything! After that, he was a complete box to box midfielder who can occasionally pop up and score goals!
Pros!
Fasts AS
Nice Shooting
Brilliant defending
Amazing stamina
Great passing
Great ball retention on and off the ball
AMAZING free kicks penalties and corners, if you need a dead ball specialist hes your man
So guys, he is absolutely worth it. For me he saved me a lot of times in fut champs. If you miss a tackle with him, its no problem because he will get back and get the ball. he is so fast and agile and always in the right defending spot. Besides that, Matthäus can score goals. His shooting is really nice and he is really good in free kicks.
so if you have 1 mil coins left, he will definitely set you squad to an other level.
So long story short... I was having an "I hate FIFA" and sold my Prime Moments Zanetti (first owned btw) which was my pride and joy. I used the funds to complete 2 Mid Icon packs. The first one I packed Guardiola... I felt sick. Second one I packed this monster and it eased the blow of the loss. Still feeling apprehensive, I chucked Matthaus into my squad and low and behold he is a beast. I was instantly so impressed. He was fast, he was strong. He was messing up players through the midfield similarly to one other beast we all know and trust... Kante. I'd honestly compare him to the devastating effects the UCL 91 Kante has. He is phenomenal. I actually rate him higher than the Zanetti I traded for him... In hindsight however, I will never sell a first owner icon moments if its decent again... the stress of packing Guardiola has turned my hair grey.
Fast. Strong Body. Moves well on the ball. Bodies anyone and everyone on defence and offence. Great passing. Good vision.
Lacking those skill moves that would put him on a "god-like" level. Can miss sitters in the box ... but will score a screamer to make up for it though!
So i finally managed to safe 1.5m coins to buy my idol Lothar.
I am looking for a similar box to box midfielder like Kante who is my most favorite player in fifa 20. bulling off everybody anywhere and any time. I am so glad i found the pink Max Meier who is as good as Kante and free. so had to fill the 3rd spot in my midfield..... it had to be the monster Lothar. :-)
but then i played him for around 10 games and i was soooooooo sad. not that he is bad. he is good. does a good job. but,......not outstanding. somehow he feels less quick, less agile than Kante. and very strange,.....he missed EVERY shot in front of goal. no matter how easy. just as Kante. Lol. but with such a good finishing ? strange.
So i have to conclude: he is good. but not as good as Kante or Meier. AND for all this he is just far too expensive. And just this week i found my 3rd amazing box to box midfielder with Aouar season objectives. he is the man. as good as Kante but better finishing !
