Hi. After realising this card has no reviews yet, I decided to write a little review about my time with the card. I’m reviewing the card in early December 2019 and it’s rating is 89, but I recon by the time you read this the card will probably have gone up.
This card is an UCL card, which means the card will go up every time Tottenham reach a next round in the Champions League. Given its now groups fase and Tottenham have qualified, I expect the card to go up at the end of the week for the first time.
A few weeks back I had the normal gold Lloris in my goal. He linked my defence perfectly and I had him untradable, but to be honest… I hated the card. He was inconsistent and his choices on corners were horrible. He could make a sick reflex and save me the first match and bottle the game the next.
I couldn’t believe it at first when I opened a two player pack that held this guy. To be honest I didn’t want him at first. I thought this card was going to be more of the same old Lloris, but I couldn’t be more wrong.
This card is an absolute crazy upgrade over the regular card. I don’t know how such small bump tends to increase stats in game and influence a player that much in game, that it just feels like a completely different player. The UCL version Lloris’ reflexes are even better compared to the regular card. He comes out of 1v1s as winner most of the times. He can make absolute world saves. His diving is way better and he reaches the balls headed for the pin with no effort at all.
He feels way more comfortable at high balls. He finally knows what to do on corners and coming out is what he is best at. He saves the ball a lot of times with his foot, despite not having the treat.
Despite the card being usable whilst the regular card is not (in my opinion), he still has some working points. His distribution is still below average. His throwing is alright, but I tend to avoid his kicking. A lot of the times he will just work the ball over the line or play it way too hard. Handling also feels weird at moments. He tends to push the ball out or punch it away and rarely catch it directly.
Overall I’ve gotta say this card is a huge improvement and I’m curious to see how good it will get before Tottenham are done with in the CL. At the moment I think this card is beyond worth it’s price (although I have him untradable), given the card will probably get bumped 1 or two times at least. This guy has been vital in many of my weekend league wins and I think this might be my keeper until the end of FIFA this year. If you could afford him, I would highly recommend him. This could be your endgame keeper.
