His 84 card was amazing for me, showing the consistency that all stats dont represent for more than 400 games.
His dribbling stats makes he feel so great on the ball, his reactions are far better from the gold version and not to mention the 5*sm making more agile ball exits from defense.
A lot more stronger with Anchor chem style, so strenghts was no real problem.
99 stamina can finally track that fresh Kent or James into the scary +85 minutes.
Tip: For all those who struggle a bit with Walker being a little robot, with low agiliy and poor long passing, Cancelo 87 is a must buy.
Reactions: so much more dynamic than his gold version.
4*wf: more consistency in ball exits. Not to mention 5*sm.
Dribbling: all stats above 80. Feels almost like a CM building plays.
Hey guys, I wanted to try this guy out for a bit now because I had his gold card since the game started. I tried him out in Rivals in div 4/5 (My skill rating was borderline) primarily as a RB.
Now, how was he?? Well, he’s a very good card and you can also feel the upgrade from his gold too.
Pace - 93, that’s all. I think that’s pretty good but if you’d wanna max it out, use an anchor (I tried sentinel cuz of the card I bought)
Passing - Short passing is neat, no problem there. He can do long passes too, which is nice cuz he helped me relieve the pressure at the back by pinging to my cdm or lb.
Dribbling - Also nice. Even though 84 agility and 81 balance may seem a bit low for a few people, it’s fine and I could even left stick dribble smoothly with him.
Defending - Ahh with a sentinel he becomes the master of tackling. However, his interceptions aren’t as good as motm Ricardo pereira or tots AWB imo. This annoyed me. Sometimes, his positioning wasn’t perfect when my opponent was attacking along the side - FB costa managed to somehow evade him and get into clear spaces to receive countless through balls which I didn't like either. However, that being that he’s an impeccable 1 on 1 fullback that will dispossess even the best wingers in the game. He also feels very fast while jockeying which is a good feature.
Physical - Stamina wasn’t an issue (99 btw) runs up and down the side for full 90 min and still has green stamina till the end, particularly good for attacking runs as he’ll never get tired. His 6’0 frame along with 91 jumping allows him to easily intercept crosses to the wingers. Strength is ok - 77, he won’t body an opponent like VVD but who cares since he can tackle very well. His aggression is key though (92), as I believe that is the key reason he went in for the interceptions quite rapidly (but also this feature by the AI means he’s outta position, it may sometimes be bad depending on the quality of your opponent).
Final comment - a very cool card, especially with the 5* sm and 4* wf upgrade makes him a key contester between him an other PL rbs like motm pereira and tots awb for example. His, price is also roughly 100k below tots awb which could be a good reason why people may want to get him but I’d recommend going for the PL tots options as they are better imo (if you have the money). Ik, AWB has 2* wf but as long as you quickly get the ball and pass it to someone near you won’t feel it that much. Sometimes, felt that his positioning wasn't the best. He places himself quite high on the pitch so this could leave a gap in your own half which the opponent could take advantage of. (However, he has excellent attacking position and makes good runs)
