JOAQUíN CORREA - FUT BIRTHDAY FIFA 20 Prices and Rating

Sorry for my english. First of all I´m gonna say that I´m a normal/bad player who tries to get fun with this game, I´ve finished in almost gold 3 with him (wich for me is great because iI just play for fun). So, I played with normal Son before him, but the korean god started to fail a lot of passes and goals, so I thought to buy another CAM, I look for prices a leagues and then Correa appeared for a very good price (127k in that moment), I bought him and then it was just pure magic. I have Cristiano in my squad too, and they feel like the same player, Correa is agile, with 5* skills, fast with the ball, tall, scores headers, but it has a better pass than Ronaldo, if you play with these two guys you will feel like the are the same player, just for the color of the boots I realized with who I was playinh with.

In 30 matches (weekend league), he scored me 24 goals and made 16 assists.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the gold standard for Serie A strikers, but he's also prohibitively expensive for most players. Coming in at just under 600k as of writing, most players will never get the chance to use him... until now. Joaquin Correa is, in fact, the poor man's CR7. For just 96k, a sixth the cost of Ronaldo, Correa offers a near identical toolset to the Portuguese legend.

PACE AND SHOOTING: Packing great on-card pace, I figured he doesn't need any additional boost. This assumption was correct, as he feels rapid in-game. 92 sprint speed is plenty for breaking away into space, and the 87 acceleration does not hold him back whatsoever. The shooting boost from a marksman is perfect for Correa, as it patches both his below-meta stats right up; his finishing goes to a clinical 97, while the sub-par longshot of 80 gets to a solid 90. His only bad shooting stat is actually penalties, which you can just have anyone else take. At the very least, he isn't Penaldo. A 4 star weak foot makes lefty shots acceptable. He also packs the finesse shot trait, which feels fantastic with his 89 curve. Consistently curls his finesse shots and seems to keep a lot of them lower, which is a plus.

DRIBBLING: Absolutely fan-tas-tic. I'm by no means a tekker god, but I'm proficient enough with a skiller to pull off some moves in the right scenarios. You can definitely feel the stats when dribbling in any style with Correa, whether that's pulling skill moves, holdup dribbling, close-control, or just speeding around. His dribbling and ball control are both 99 on a marksman and it feels that way. Balance at 74 feels good for his height. If I were playing him as a CAM I might consider using an engine just to make that even smoother, but as a striker, he wiggles with the best of them. 80 Composure seemed mediocre at face-value, but I have yet to feel like it's let me down.

PASSING: Feels great for a striker. His passing stats are good enough to play as a CAM so it figures they'd be good up top too. He has the flair trait which means reverse ball rolls and flicks are in his arsenal, a very underrated asset for a striker.

PHYSICAL: This is the one area that's up and down. He is NOT an aerial threat like CR7. I know fut20 isn't exactly a headers paradise, but he only scored one header in the games played, and that isn't for a lack of trying. He is good at holdup play, however. His stamina was sufficient to last the full 90 in each game, while playing on press on heavy touch. I don't think he would last if I played constant pressure, though.

DEFENDING: Not his job, nor would I recommend using him as a defender. He has long legs and is fast, so basic pressuring is fine.

the moment I saw this card, I knew I had to get it. all my attackers have 5 star skill moves, because I do a lot of elasticos. At first I was a bit worried about his balance and finishing, but I gave him a hunter and he is unstoppable. In my first 10 games in the weekend league he scored 16 times. Now I have played 88 games and he has scored 115 goals. I'm a average gold 2/gold 1 player and believe me. This card does the job.

Pace: With a hunter card his pace feels like the fastest players in the game. especially after a stepover. 

Shooting: His shooting is very good. Sometimes he will miss a chance, but his finishing is great. His long shots are also very good. With te finesse shot trait you can just press O+R1 and the ball often goes in. His outside foot shots are also very good. His left foot feels like also very nice. 

Passing: His passing is not special and not bad. Don't give long balls because he can't. Short passes are just fine.

Dribbling: I was most afraid at first of his dribbling. His balance is very low on his card and I like players with good agility and balance. I played a game and that balance stat is completely wrong. It really feels like 90 balance. His agility is also very good. He doesn't feel clunky at all.

Defense: I don't care

Physical: His physical is not very great. He don't feel very strong, but somehow he often glitches through it.

For the people who don't know what position you have to use him: I use him as a striker. You can use him as a cam but his stamina is't very good. I won't put him on the wings. 

If you were wondering, I bought this card on hawk, and then checked on Futbin and changed him to a deadeye. He did not disappoint! His balance feels much better in-game than his stats suggest and is a very well rounded card with the deadeye. I played him in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation as a left striker. With the deadeye his weak foot feels like a 5 star instead of a 4 star and I think that's down to the 98 shot power you get with the chem style. But whatever you do, PLEASE TRY THIS CARD if he fits your team

This is going to be a short review but I hope it's helpful. Joaquin Correa is a great striker and one of the best options for Serie A. The combination of 5 star skills, 93 agility and 96 dribbling make him a beast at dribbling although balance is a problem sometimes. Pace is nothing special, shooting is actually better than what his stats say. I play him at ST, but he is also a good CAM, but imo you should play him as a ST in a formation with two ST's because he is a bit clunky for a CAM.

When I got player moments messi in my picks, I knew I had to put him in my serie a squad, and correa was the perfect argentinian cam to link him. The first matches, I was a bit dissapointed, it seemed like I would get gomez instead of him. But I decided to keep him for my wl. The thing with this card, is you got to learn how to use him correctly, and that can either on lam or ram or striker. It may sound crazy, but correa has a glitch, super effective, I'll try to explain it the best possible. When correa receives the ball, and a fullback or defender is marking him, direct him for him to face the sideline, and then make a scoop turn directing it to the rival's goal, and then sprint to that direction. What happens there is that the fullback won't expect such a sudden sprint, and correa will leave them behind. His body type and agilty helps him to do this skill. I hope you understood this, it will help you.

I saw this correa card and was very curious on how he would play ingame. His stats suggest eh would play like ronaldo and that is sort of the case. I used a hunter on him and with that he and ronaldo share similar stats. Good finishing and shot power, high agility low balance and 5 star skills. I used him in 15 games of weekend league and I was disappointed but not surprised. He is 90k and he really is just a 90k player. He was quick enough and strong enough but the problems came with his dribbling and finishing.

DO NOT FINESSE! His finesse shots are woeful I would ball roll or 5* fake shot scoop and create space for the finesse shot and he would never score. He just shoots directly at the keeper. His normal power shots are good though, a bit inconsistent but still good most of the time. I use big strikers a lot but his balance really took away from the card, he doesn't have the special animations that ronaldo has so he can't bully players off the ball like ronaldo even though he is heavier and has more strength. It is also hard to compare a 90k card to a 700k card. Given he is 90k he is great fair price and his fun to use especially if you have skillitus.

In conclusion, He is a fair price fun to use and I say if you aren't looking to be too competitive and just have some fun he is the player for you, just PLEASE stay away from his finesse shots, seriously they are terrible. so i would recommend trying this card for a bit and having some fun with the not nearly as good 90k argentinian ronaldo.

After a full Weekend League run the previous week (20-9), I decided to casually play to Gold 3 and test this card out. I finished 14-6.

First of all, I have to say that I had bought this guy as an investment. However, I was curious to see how he would perform in FUT Champions. I played him as a ST in 4-2-3-1 with Mertens and Lozano as my wide CAMs and red Neymar in the middle. I am usually not a fan of tall strikers in this game. Correa however was a pleasant surprise:

He feels quite agile and due to his strength he is really hard to tackle. The ball weirdly sticks to his feet. Although his dribbling is very good, he can't do sharp turns like Mbappe or TOTY Mane, but I didn't expect that anyway. His pace is very good, even without boosting it with a chem style.

His shooting is phenomenal, especially finesse shots. I can't remember missing a single finesse shot with him. His finishing in general is very good. Sometimes I did notice the lack of composure when he took an extra touch, so that the GK was able to come out and save the shot. Another con could be the weak foot finishing. It wasn't as consistent as I hoped it would be. In some occasions he didn't hit the target or he even missed it by far. He still scored a few bangers on his left though.

Another positive is definitely his passing which is fantastic for a striker. He has very well rounded stats and he shows them in game. You could play him as a CAM or CF for sure.

Lastly, I didn't really have many issues with his stamina in regular time. Strikers normally don't need more than 75 stamina for my style of play (balanced, pressure on heavy touch). I did notice it depleting in extra time though which could be an issue.

To sum up, Correa represents incredible value for coins. He isn't an elite tier player, but definitely a great option for people who can't afford big icons or CR7/Mbappe. He feels very similar to CR7 in game. He doesn't have the custom running animation or the heading, but heading isn't a big thing anyway in this game.

I really enjoyed using the card and I can recommend him 100%.

so good. using him as cam in my argentinian attack, using with engine so fun to play with, very agile and good pace, shot and passing. sub of after 70 min because stamina.
