Butra My love
By ROcky1995, 04-11-2020

First I have to say this is one of my favorite card in fifa 20. In fifa 21, this card is still good enough to be considered fantastic. This man is moving like a ghost without a ball. He will definitely beat your opponent in lower div. In the high div, his strength does become a problem and you guys have to know how to use it by trying to avoid too much physical contact. As for shooting, with no doubt, butra is the best shooter in-game. I used all the player below 5 m and you have my words. This is one of the best shooters you can find below 5m. Also, he definitely a game-changer, score so many goals for me. In addition, I really enjoy his move without ball, you got to have a main striker to attracting fire and he will ghost through the defend line, he doesn't move that much, but once you see he move, prepare to pass him the ball and press the shooting bottom no matter how hard you push the bottom he will score, he will just takes care of everything.

Butragueño the god
By bradleyhunty, 08-01-2021

i have never done a review, but i just had to for the card. i am a div 1 gold 1 player and for TOTY i always go liquid and just opened my icon swaps base or mid pack and it was mid suker(who's not good except his shooting) I had a bit of fodder in my club so I decided to do a base or mid icon sbc. i did icon roulette and went to spain, I already have base icon puyol so wasn't expecting anything when I checked, but when I saw butra i was extatic.

i play him upfront in a 442 with my untradable neymar and on the wings base zola and potm felix. i have only played a few games but can already tell he's much better than him. his shooting with the finnese shot trait is insane and can score from anywhere with his 5* WF. his dribbling and pace is amazing with his agility and his size. working with neymar on get in behind his through balls and passing was really good with 90 vision. in 15 games he's scored 21 goals and 9 assists. the only problem I had with this card was his SM but I used neymar and felix for that and works well with them by the side of him. i have had no problems with his stamina and can last the whole 90 minutes but may get tired when it nears to the end of extra time.

Insane Player! What a Clinical Finisher!
By LanQ, 22-12-2020

First review and English is not the first language.

I try to find a striker around 1.5M in PC since I play a hybrid squad. I used to be a random D5 player, with Neymar Mbappe and Freeze Verrati in the front. Then I got this guy to play as my main striker in 4231. This dude is insane. This card brings me from D5 to D3 in just one week. Maybe I do improve myself, this is the first FIFA I play. However, this guy just score too much goals for me.

I am not the player who are into skill moves for striker, so 3* is not a big problem for me. I will use Neymar and Mbappe to do the skill moves on the side. And LB to ask butra to run. All you need to do is to press the through ball, and wait for Butra to run into the position. This guy, will outpace Varane (The solid CB with very good pace). Sometimes he can even win the rival with this tiny body even against Rio or Vidic. When he get the ball close to the box, all you need to do is to press the shooting button, and he will finish in his own way. The power shot of this dude is so crazy. Low Medium is not the issue. This guy is too smart in attacking position. And you will notice his pace when he goes for the through ball, he runs like a rocket. The shot power and the shooting angle is insane, he will finish every chances he create. What a player, will absolutely bring you to another level in no matter DR or Weekend League. This card reminds me of the gold Ben Yedder this year, but the 100X stronger version. Smart run, 5*weak foot, clinical finish, and the outstanding pace. I don't know much about the meta, but if you need a finisher, mid butra worths every coins you spend..

Pace

Shooting (Shot- power, Finesse Shot)

Dribbling (Left stick and r1 is crazy, this dude is so agile)

Passing (Very decent for a striker, he wont make mistake)

He is INSANE as a ST !!!
By Stalvat, 09-01-2021

Hey guys, so it's my first review and for a first review I was thinking to do it to a very good player and I think the word is good for this BEAST named Butragueno.

First of all, I've picked him yesterday and played some D1 games, he was very effective as his shootings abillites are fantastic it's simple every single shots are in or the keeper do a big save, his pace combined with his agility are crazy he moves so smooth, so agile it's crazy. But the most amazing thing is that the ball is sticked to him even with his 3* skills that I think isn't a big issue because I have Eto'o, Nedved, Lozano to do some skills to eliminate defenders. I've tried Ronaldo, Mbappé and a lot of very expensive strikers but nobody come close to his finishing abilities, his shot power is so broken I mean it's unbelievable all you have to do is press shooting buttons when you are on the opponent side the keeper can't do nothing about that. I'm currently on a 8-1 streak on Fut Champions and this little guy is litterally carrying me into it with maybe 5 hat tricks in 8 games very impressive. His passing abilities are also very good combined with his 5* weak foot you can easily do some long ball to your wingers or second striker without problem. I suggest you playin him on 4-4-2, i've tried to play 4-2-3-1 with him as the striker he's very good but I don't think it's the best solution, because the first con : His strength, well his strength isn't the best as you can imagine he can be easily pushed up by defenders but if you play him the right way by eliminate defenders with the left stick (it's awesome with him) you will have no problem and last con : heading, yeah it's not that good honestly even if he manage to win some headers sometimes it's not consistent.

Anyway, if you are looking for a very solid striker, just go for him he's currently at 1.3m on PS4 and I think it's a fair price for him he's just too good and he's gonna do the same for you I'm sure about that. Thanks for reading have a nice day/evening.

Butra <3
By Cyfog, 29-01-2021

First of all, this is my first review ever and my english isn't that great, so please be lenient with me.

Emilio Butragueno, or just Butra, is my absolute favourite player since Fifa 19. This year he is even better then the years before, he is absolutly magnificent.

In the box he is completly clinical. Outside the box, when you position well, he can score finesse shots from 30 yards. His dribbling is also phenomenal. Because of his size and his dribbling stats he could be one of the best dribblers in the game. More than 3* skills would be great, but it's not that necessary. You can turn him with the left stick so fast, what makes him so dangerous and unpredictable. His greatest strength is his positioning, I played him in 4-1-2-1-2 (2), where he was kinda good. Then I switched to 4-4-1-1, where he plays at CF. With this Position (no instructions), he went completly crazy. His balance stat compensate his "bad" strength stat, so he feels kinda sticky to the ball. One of his biggest advantages -his small size- makes him kinda bad at headers. But I bet, when you reading this review, you're not looking for a tall, good heading player like CR7. Im using Hawk on him, but I think its more like preference. Hawk is boosting his strength, nearly maximizes his shooting and pumps him up to 97 pace. My second choice would be basic. The most similar player is probably Messi, but this year messi feels so much worse than butra. If you looking for a small player and you have the coins, try him out! Havent played the prime version yet, but it looks not worth it.

Rapid baller
By Alexhas5starskills, 03-02-2021

When this guy is through no one catches up and no one saves his shots, however, he doesn't always manage to get that far. By no means Is he a bad card and with a hawk his shot power is unstoppable and 97 pace is enough thanks to his body type. The only reason I have not given him 5 stars is because of his medium attacking work rates, it is very noticeable that even with get in behind he is very hesitant to make runs and will often just stand still being marked. This doesn't suit my playstyle personally but for some, this will not be as much of a problem, I just feel he could put his pace to better use if he made better runs. 3-star skills is also not ideal but it's a small price to pay for 5-star weak foot and the cheeky finesse shot trait. Overall his stats are as insane as they look however his work rates let him down.

Unexpected star!
By owihere, 12-01-2021

This is my first review on futbin but I feel that I need to do it for this card. First of all, in my opinion all Butrageuno cards are very underrated because of nation and 3 SM. I pair Butrageuno with my two untradable base icon: Pele and Del Piero and untradable Neymar. I play him on ST in 4 4 2 and right CAM in 4 2 3 1. I have to confess that playing him on R/L CAM or winger is unbeneficial. Below I will try to explain why. Pace- pace is good but not the best, comparing it to Mbappe you can see the diffrence. Anyway 92 pace on that stage of game is enough. Dribbling-Butrageuno is 168 cm height and very agile player. You can move around with this card very easily but you can feel his 3 SM in some situations. At all dribbling is one of his strenghts and this card is able to do all micro moves you want. Shooting- Finally we come to his best skill. Comparing to Pele, Del Piero and Neymar his shooting is the best. Deadly finishing, finesse shoots, inside the box and even outside the box where in this FIFA is very hard to score from this position, Butrageuno makes that you can’t realize that fact. Long shots and shot power writed down on this card are lies. There are much better than you expect. Passing- for a striker Butra has a very good vision and pretty good short passing. The only weakness is his long passing but it doesn’t matter as much taking into account overall performance. Physical- you cannot expect much for player with that height. 68 strenght and 86 jumping is good, 84 stamina is enought to play all game with extra time. (This year EA made a good move cancelling conditions card, it makes that players with low stamina are more useful). In the end I highly recommend this card if you search a real finisher. His price is about 1.2 mln coins. Of course you can get Mbappe, Neymar or CR7 in this price and may be it could be a better choice but if you want to be alternative player with team without players that most of people put in their team you can choose Butrageuno.

Great, but not worth the coins
By Tilimo, 08-02-2021

Okay, so before everyone starts throwing tomatoes, hear me out. Butragueño is a good card, but for me, he is nowhere near worth the coins. I am a division 1 player and have used players like IF Neymar, base and mid Dalglish, mid Del Piero and mid Nedved. The goal contribution record of my attackers is almost always positive. Even with prime Nakata (which is amazing and worth a try IF you know how to play with him), I have a record of 1,5 per game.

  • Pace (8/10)

His pace with hawk is good (I also tried hunter which is even better), but he has a weird running animation which makes him look kind of slow. As a comparison, mid Nedved outruns Varane, but Butra is almost slaughtered by Varane. There is just a lack of explosiveness. The low strength doesn't help as well

  • Shooting (7/10)

This one hurts the most. Outside the box, his shooting is great. Scored some real top corner bangers. But inside the box, he just misses quite a lot. Especially the finesse shots (which is the reason why I bought Butra over Dalglish). At first I thought I did something wrong. But when I did almost the exact same shots with mid Nedved, I knew that the shots were doable. Also his shotpower doesn't seem to come close to that of Dalglish. This was really frustrating because reviews are talking about his amazing shooting. Also, the video's that I watched about him made my mouth water. But in-game, it just wasn't the card for me. I would choose mid Nedved over Butra every day of the week

  • Passing (7/10)

As with base Dalglish, this one surprised me the most. His passing is really good. Even close to an 8. His long balls do miss the target from time to time, but he still had 8 assists in 15 matches, which is quite good in my opinion for a striker. 180 passes aren't for him, but that is to be expected. Double-tap passes, on the other hand, are not bad at all

  • (8/10)

His dribbling is nice. Not as good as POTM Felix or Neymar, but for sure good enough to mitigate his 3 star skills. He is agile and able to avoid tackles or body to body contact (which is great, knowing he has low strength)

  • (6/10)

He actually got some really nice interception and tackles. I think it is thanks to his fast running and small body, pushing himself between the ball and the opponent

  • (5/10)

It is okay, but not good enough. He does get pushed off the ball easily and only 2 out of 10 times his balance is able to save him. I would make sure you use his dribbling well to avoid contact at all costs

Overall, I was not impressed. I sold him after 15 games and I haven't had a single regret. I think this is a case of 'just not the player for me'. The only thing that I can say is: if you happen to be in the same situation, buy mid Nedved (or base Dalglish). Both are everything Butragueño has to offer and more.

I hope this was helpful for some of you ^^

  • Better than expected passing
  • Is fast and agile
  • Has the five star weak foot
  • Is really present of the pitch
  • Not thát great shooting inside the box
  • Weak
  • For the price, there are better options like mid Nedved or Base Dalglish
