i've used this man for 20 games so far and i think he is one of the most underrated icon cvm's in the game, and why you may ask?
because this man's defence is so good, i think he is one of the best tacklers in the game. his standing tackles are so good. its on vieira and mathaus level.
also he hase 78 pace but with the shadow he keeps up with most attackers, he also doesn't look very agile but i actually don't really notice it. sometimes he is a bit clunky but that is when i play against adama or neymar. guardiola's passing is so good. if you can master your passes he's one of the best.
if you need a icon < 500k he is the man to go!
-pace (he's fast for his position)
-interceptions (one of the best stats for his positions)
-slidings
-shots (he can also shoot pretty good.
-passing
-positioning
-sometimes a bit clunky when against pacey and fast players/dribblers.
-his price, if you don't need a icon i should go for kante. but if you do need one go for him.
At first, i just bought it for the chem, and then just buy a better icon, but after i tested him in the weekend league, he surely will stay on my team.
I thought he is so cheap because he will not be good in-game, "maybe the stamina, the pace, and strenght" are poor, but in-game, he didn't feel like that
he´s an incredible passer, his long passes to the wingers are just beautiful, and his vision is just class for a CDM.
I played him alongside Curtis Jones in a 4-4-2, Pep as the more defensive CM, and he do the job defensively,
he interepts and cover the spaces really well.
About stamina, he can easily last full 90 minutes, but in extra time, he will be tired at minute 110´
If you have kante, you should think about upgrading to this man, in my opinion Pep is just better.
So let me start off by saying this man got me transfer banned in march bc I needed him for a separate team to get Thiago full them as he had two red links etc.. and I've got to say, It doesn't bother me whatsoever, I have used Guardiola for 158 games now and consistently he is amazing. This mans recovery speed is ridiculous! He will win tackles all the time and he feels absolutely solid and you may be thinking he may be clunky but oh no, I will reassure you due to his height he is actually very smooth on the ball. I usually play him as my central centre mid in a 4312 and for where he plays I have no complaints. He's always in position, he makes the tackles, he makes the passes, he runs the midfield, can have a cheeky pop at goal here and there and most of all he is not slow! I really don't have an issue with this card whatsoever and I don't think you would either and for 80k on xbox currently what's not to like?
Pace
Defence
Dribbiling
Being a god
Stamina
Physical
Passing
Yet again being a god.
At times you may be able to feel his strength let him down, but it is a rare occasion.
I'd suggest not shooting from anywhere outside of the box.
Gotta say I wasn't TOO disappointed at first cause he looked okay.
I'm a div 2 gold 1 player and I have to say this card is lackluster, in this stage of the game his stats don't hold up and he's gonna bring you more bad then good.
Not really his fault and his prime might be a tad better then this one, but the mid just lacks the stats in the right areas to even be considered competent.
I'm quite a casual player and still have normies in my team like Alba and Lenglet(even though I have the coins for Mendy and Varane) because I dont really care about the meta and just want fun, so of course I was gonna give this barca legend a chance considering it's my favorite club.
Pros:
Defending is good
Can make some good passes with that right foot
Unique body type makes him feel less sluggish
You can have Pep be the manager of Pep:)
Cons:
He turns slow
Even with a shadow I find him too slow
Can't shoot
Can't play CB
Not game changing in any way
Kante is better for 1/3 of the price
The problem is, he doesn't add much to the attack which would be fine if his defensive contributions were really good, that's the case with the 87 rated Makalele that I have. At CM he's just trash, unless you use him as the middle CM on stay back while attacking, he was decent for me in that role. CDM can be fine and he might be the best low-tier CDM icon but if you have a good team throw him into a sbc if you packed him, don't even consider buying him if you're teams good, atleast try the prime in that case. You're better off using storyline Dembele (85) if he fits into your team, he's a quality midfielder. Hope this helps and thanks for reading.
