oke so first english isn't my main language so sorry if there are many grammar mistakes or weird sentences. I play 4231 with courtois in goal, defense are alves, kimpempe (UCL), varane and marcelo. zdm's are kante and pogba, now kondogbia. left zom ist salah middle is eriksen and right one mbappe. the striker is since now my favorite fut card this year, son futmas. so pogba was really nice as kante partner because of his great heading, his jumping, his height, passes and his good defending although he only has about 70 defending. Kondogbia got all this aswell with 1,88m great physicality and even better defending. at the same time he got good passing, good ball control, good long shots and good pace as well. So when you see his stats you think he is a player who can everything but i think with one or two more upgrades you have your wish player.
pace: is allright but a chem style wouldn't be bad for him
shooting: he must be in the right place + time finished to get a ball in the net or you get lucky but don't expect to much in this category from him
passing: is very good but i think it is a little bit worse than the stats look like
dribbling: good ball control but not the best but 80 agility is very nice for such a tall player
defensive: his best stat, great standing tackles and interceptions, only stat which isn't the best is marking in game ( sometimes)
physicality: great jumping, and aggression, stamina could be more and strength feels like 85 in game not like 94 but 85 is enough anyway
so give him one or two more upgrades which he should become and he will carry your midfield like a boss
I waver between 4 stars or 4.5 stars as a overall rating but i think 4.5 stars is better
If you ever wanted a gullit but don't have enough money, get this guy!
He's amazing with his physical presence. Put him at cam, and he breaks into the box and smash in a long shot for a goal. you want him to attack, put on a hawk. you want him to defend, put on an anchor. he's one of those rare players that can play cdm, cm or cam.
he breaks up play, he builds up play, and he finish the play. that's how amazing this guy is. but of course, this guy has his flaw, mainly his weak foot. try a through ball with his weak foot and the ball will go nowhere.
he's not that agile but at the same time, he's definitely not clunky. I like his auto defence, probably due to his aggression and strength. he just knock people off. exactly like gullit. probably closer to a hybrid of pogba and kante. with pogba going for 600k, get this guy, he's more worth cos his price is lesser but can defend better.
and the best part is if valencia qualifies for next round, he's gonna get upgraded. definitely worth as an investment and possibly, an end game player. using both 4231 and 41212, he fits in both system easily, either as a cdm or cm and if needed be, at cam to add more steel upfront.
his physical presence!! 4222 formation feels easier with him around
his long shots, he just keep pushing up and getting those rebounds and those long shots just easily goes in
tackling, he's very aggressive and has that kante-like presence, hounding players for the ball
passing under pressure. you can get 3 opponents around him and he can still sneak out a pass to a teammate.
composure in either attacking or defending. he just maurades forward with his good ball handling, reminding me of pogba without the flair
he feels slow moving off, but once he's on a run, somehow he just skip off players easily.
his stamina can last him whole match, but if you make him defend and attack from end to end, do expect him to be flat out in 70th min
he has crazy all round stats. his orange or red stats won't affect his gameplay at all.
definitely his weakfoot. forget those long passes, or through balls with him. once you forget to switch foot, he will fuck it up. but it feels like a 3* weak foot though. keep those passes short and you'll be fine.
finesse shot is weird with him. his finesse goals are just normal. but any spectacular shots will always be either punched or not on target. probably because of the curve.
he's not as good with 1 on 1. can't seem to round off the keeper, and can't seem to finesse enough curve. how I get around it is just by smashing it in. go for power and he will probably rip the net out.
The moment I saw this card go live I knew I need to add him to my La Liga squad. Despite that I was slightly hesitant whether or not to really add him as I don't use a CDM which is where I thought he would work best. I swapped him for TOTGS Rakitic in CM and tried him out. All I can say is that he immediately became one of my best players, my team already felt quite strong but Kondogbia made my team feel smoother and stronger.
Pace: The card stat seems quite decent although there is a big difference between acceleration and sprint speed. Many times he will feel very slow and sloppy when accelerating but that will quickly change and will seem much better.
Shooting: 76 looks very decent. His stats make him a serious threat from distance shooting (89 shot power & 83 longshots) and although they won't always end in goal he does usually manage to get a corner kick out of it. Finishing feels pretty sloppy but I didn't expect great shooting from a defensive player.
Passing: The card stat makes his passing seem pretty weak or at least not very good but looking at in-game stats and using in-game he is completely different. He has very low crossing and fk accuracy (2 stats almost useless for someone like him) and low curve. His vision, short and long passing are great and they feel extremely accurate in-game. Despite 2* weak foot his passes feel almost just as good as with his preferred foot.
Dribbling: Lete start out by saying that he does feel kind of clumsy with the ball. He has decent agility and balance so it felt strange, despite feeling clumsy he doesn't feel bad. He can keep the ball at his feet quite well and with 4* skill moves and 89 reactions he can be an excellent skill mover for those who can time the moves correctly (I especially like doing la croqueta with him as I feel he does that move perfectly).
Defending & Heading: Excellent stats, he is a very defensive player he feels awesome in game. I'd say his interceptions and stand tackling are the best. He is almost always well postioned for an interception and since he's a tall player he feels much more intimidating. His heading accuracy doesn't look very good but it feels very good. I've managed to score a header with him.
Physical: Well there isn't much to say honestly, this was probably the first thing we all saw when looking at this card. 91 physical looks outstanding and in-game... It is. He is very very strong, he's extremely aggressive, he's an excellent jumper and he simply doesn't get tired. Combine this with good defensive stats and you've got an absolute monster.
So to wrap it up, just a reminder I reviewed him as his current 86 rated version, if he gets upgraded he will be even more a monster than he already is.
Anyway, he is definitely the best La Liga CM/CDM (yes he excels equally in both positions) but he does come with a very hefty price tag although thanks to his high price you won't run into many teams with him. EA created a monster that you fits in perfectly in big budget La Liga/ French teams.
- Defending & Physical combo
- Passing
- Long shots
- 4* skill moves
- Pretty much everything else
- 2* weak foot (when it comes to shooting)
- The (small) chance that your rival could have him
I bought this man, because i needed a strong and tall CDM next to kante (which i don't use anymore). When I first used him i immediatly put a anchor on him, because I thougt this would be the best chem style for him. After a while I realised I didn't need any strenght extra on him, so I bought a shadow card for him. He felt a lot better. He was quick, he intercepted almost every ball near him and he started scoring more headers for me from a corner. So a shadow card is the way to use him if you want to get the best out of him. Here is a list of all his pros and cons when I have a shadow on him and use him as a stay back while attacking CDM.
High interception stat
good pace to get to the ball on time
wins almost every air duel
strength
tackling
shotpower (to shoot after a corner just out of the penalty box)
Of cours there are also a few cons these have mostly to do with his dribbling stats, you shouldn't dribble with him like you would with a neymar or a messi. However these stats are important to turn with him and to get to the ball faster.
agility looks high (but he is very tall so he will turn slower)
heading accuracy (definitely not bad, but could be better)
finishing (doesn't really matter, but if you use him as CM he might get into scoring positions)
