I bought Brandt the evening he came out, because his card looked amazing. I bought him at 300k pc and I was eager to try him. I use him as a lcm in a 41212(2) with Kimmich on rcm. Up front I have baby Nedved and POTM Werner and Mbappe plays as a cam. I used this lineup for 5 games in div rivals (Div 4) and used in the Weekend League (17-11) and I must say he is amazing. He is strong enough to do the defending he needs to do, fast enough to run forward and his shooting/passing/dribbling is amazing. He dribbles smooth and is hard to get off the ball and all his passes are amazing, but his shot is probably his best stat. He has scored 26 goals in 33 games from the cm position with 13 assists alongside it. He scores longshots and doesnt miss in front of goal, it's like he has 5* wf. I use a special corner technique and he has scored like 8 times because of it. This card is really worth it, especially for the price.

So hi everybody. I decided to make a review on my guy Julian Brandt because he is so good. Just for some context I have played Fifa for a few years now but just picked up Fifa 20 a few weeks ago. I used my Rivals rewards from last week to get the guaranteed Community Tots pack. I put in Thuram who I really enjoyed so this was a risk. But I was lucky and got this guy! So on to the review. He is great, he is the commander of my team. He starts every attack with his impeccable passing and great pace. He is the perfect CAM for me. But passing and pace aren't the only good things. His shooting is very good. For me his outside of the box finesse shots go top right corner almost every time. But his shooting inside the box is also very nice. One thing I don't like is that he feels pretty sluggish even with an engine on him. I'd say he is more of a give and go type of player. But still he is amazing and even though he feels sluggish he can still blow by lots of defenders and midfielders. He has M/M so sometimes he is back on defense when I don't want him there but that is only sometimes.
Damn, so i came here to have a look at the reviews for this guy to see what people were saying about him because i got him in my red picks. I already knew he was something special as I had used him in draft.
When he came in reds I was so happy as i really wanted to try him but he was 300k. but honestly that is to cheap. I use Brandt in a 4231 as a ST yes im that guy that uses him up front but hes insane. On the ball he feels like moments Zidane his shooting is amazing and his runs in behind are deadly. not only that, being a CAM he has fantastic passing and ball play. i put a sniper on him to boost his shooting and dribbling to the max. as of writing he has 54 games 63 goals and 25 assists!!!
honestly dont know why these other reviews are saying hes average or bad this guy is fantastic. I move him to Cam sometimes to allow for a fresh striker and he just runs the game from the middle of the park.
If you are thinking of getting him do yourself a huge favor and drop the tiny amount of coins for him as he is so broken in game you wont regret it.
Also i dont quite know how to explain this but i feel most high end icons feel so sticky on the ball and when they loose it they get some huge boost that helps them to get the ball back. this guy has exactly that. i wanna call him the cheap cheap cheap moments Zidane!!!

I packed Brandt in my guaranteed TOTS pack and I was so excited to try him out. At first, I wanted to stick him into another SBC because he felt heavy on the ball and his shots weren't ending up in the back of the net. However, I ended up giving him another chance and instead switching Prime Icon Rush out for Hulk at striker and the 1, 2 duo they have is so good. Brandt's forward runs are really good and both his long and short passing feel really smooth. I would say his shooting is a bit inconsistent because he's scored some absolute bangers from outside the box but missed 1v1's or finesse shots from inside the box. As for physicality, Brandt gets knocked off the ball quite easily when he's through on goal but since he's somewhat tall for a CAM, he is able to win headers most of the time. His stamina is enough to last the whole game but I usually sub him out for Fred or Hagi in the 75th minute just to finish strong.
I'm not sure how many assists Brandt has as I'm writing this using companion app information but I'm sure it's around 20-30 right now.

Can play multiple positions (I use him at CM,CAM, RW)
I was fortunate to pack this card in untradeable rivals rewards that was saved. Originally I had high hopes for the card, as the stats ingame look very high-tier with the uncertainty of the body type and the smoothness of the player. I played Brandt around the field, CAM, ST, CM , and the card just isn't worth the money. At this stage of the game there are many other options that are viable such as Havertz which (IMO) is better. Brandt was just a huge letdown and regardless of the agility stats still feels slow on the ball. Shooting and passing is average. Physicals are alright, same as pace.
