Fantasy FC is coming to Ultimate Team and we can’t wait! It’s yet another live promo with the upgrades being reliant on in real life performances.

Not only do we have the standard Fantasy items, but also Fantasy Heroes!

Fantasy FC Release Date

Fantasy FC is set to come to Ultimate Team this Friday (23rd February). It’s going to be a two week promo as the final reward in the season pass is a Team 1 or 2 Fantasy Player Pick!

How Do Fantasy Cards Upgrade?

We’d expect a very similar upgrade path from FIFA 23 to be applicable to these cards with the addition of a PlayStyle+ bonus. Upgrades were available via the player themselves or their team if they don’t feature.

FIFA 23 Upgrade Path

+ 1 IF Upgrade - 1 Win in next 6 Matches

+ 1 IF Upgrade - 3 Appearances in next 6 Matches

+ 1 IF Upgrade - ATT/MID (2 G/A in next 6 Matches)/ GK/DEF (2 Clean Sheets in next 6 Matches)

+ 1 IF Upgrade - Avoid defeat in next 6 Matches

We’ve seen PlayStyle+ upgrades with live cards throughout the RTTF promo, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them also used in Fantasy

How Do Fantasy Hero Cards Upgrade?

That’s a perfectly reasonable question as these players can’t achieve the individual performance based upgrades. In FIFA 23 Hero cards were only eligible for one upgrade which is relative to their former team's performance. For example, Yaya Toure would be reliant on Manchester City for his upgrade!

Fantasy FC Design

We say this near enough every promo, but the card design guys have killed it once again. We’ve been given these stunning blue and purple cards with the diamond theme in the background. We’d be happy packing the cheapest one just to see the card design!

Predictions

As already mentioned, heroes are coming as part of this promo and we wanted to shine some light on those yet to receive a promo card. We’re sick of seeing the same cards featured every time, so it’s time to give Al-Owairan his first card of FC 24! One card we’d love to see is a Campos, he may be short and useless in goal, but he is also a striker…
