This is my first review - so I'm truly sorry if I write anything incorrect or if I simply just can't write English at all.
I was lucky enough to pack this son of a God in a 7,5k pack (1/240 packs I opened from FP) - and let me tell you: He might as well be God himself. I didn't get through the first five rivals matches well, and I ended up in Division 8 - please still hear me out. Aguero has scored a stunning 44 goals in 39 matches, and he has been racking up his assists with a record of 21 assists alongside his goals. Luckily he has Pukki (ST) and Rashford (CAM) backing him out up attacking - as well as Eriksen (CM) is a counter-attacker.
Aguero manages to keep the ball in the most mysterious ways, and he's always running towards the ball, and ends up with it infront of the goal. However, he's a small guy with 78 heading accuracy, but honestly, I'd think he was a 85-90 in heading accuracy - honestly. He masters his head well and usually hit the ball against the goalkeeper - which I believe is a great trait.
Over to the analysis:
PACE - With the chemistry-style Hunter he's around 90 pace, but it sure feels like 95-97 as he's a well-balanced player with great composure. Feels amazing.
SHOOTING - He absolutely tears goalkeepers apart as he can shoot a simple shot, and it will become a part of Aguero's great collection of goals. Astonishing.
PASSING - As he has been one of my go-to players to assist with, he's safe to say: A great passer. He gives the ball away in no time, and manages to keep his cool even if there's someone coming right at him.
DRIBBLING - This can be improved by the use of another chemistry-style, but he doesn't need one in my opinion. He does what he wants, and if he loses the ball, he'll win it back in no time.
DEFENDING - Not to much to say - apart from his amazing accuracy with his head. Can't believe it's just 78.
PHYSICALITY - He's not to shabby at jumping nor his strength. He can't take out Van Dijk, obviously, but he actually feels strong against some defenders which is pretty decent. His stamina is not all to bad with a 79-stat.
PACE
SHOTS (in general)
BALL CONTROL
BALANCE (feels incredible)
SHORT PASSES
HEADING ACCURACY
HEIGHT (173cm might not sound that little, but against Varane or any other tall defender he feels like a kid)
LONG PASSES (doesn't work out as great as the rest of him)
VALUE (imo he should be worth more, and less people should grant the access of having him in their teams..)
Now I have used this man in every fifa so far and this fifa hasn't changed my opinion of him. At first I was foolish but of my that pace however in game he feels rapid and his shooting in and outside the box is sublime. I packed him untradeable in 82+ pack and he changed my weekend league around completely.
Rapid
Very nice turns in the box
NEAR POST OP
Fairly reliable on either foot
Aggression to win back possession
Gets muscled quite easy
Heading but you know its fifa 20
Passing can be really stupid sometimes not sure if him or just fifa 20
Initially viewing this card in FUT 20 the intention of purchasing Aguero was never there.... (80 pac) although, after packing him untradeable I decided to give him a run, this was a Turning point in my weekend league results. I didn't feel as hunter was necessary for this card (and the ridiculous price) hence, my desesionn with a catalyst chemistry style (playing in central central cam role) E Easily one of the best finishers in and outside the box (93 att pos, 93 finishing, and 89 shot power) in this game. This card may not display the highest physical stat although, having 91 Balance helps with fending off opponents. To conclude this card was absolutely ridiculous for me and changed the dynamic to my results in the weekend league I wouldn't look past this card if he is in the realms of you're budget. I don't think many FUT users have given this card a chance however, you will not be disappointed if you do so.
4-2-3-1 formation Crespo at ST, Di Maria at RCAM, Mertens at LCAM, and Kun Aguero at Central CAM)
116 games 91 goals 34 assists. Most games were played in rivals div 4 and FUT champions
Shooting is sublime (ridiculous insane)
great ball central and dribbling, agility greater for turning players inside out.
Honestly Aguero is pretty underrated. Given is current price he might be the best striker under the 100K.
I used him with a catalyst chem style in a 4-2-3-1 as the only striker. He might not be the strongest but the dribbling evens it out in my opinion. With L1R1 dribbling he can link up play so well.
And with catalyst his passing and pace complete him to scoring goals and chipping in with some assists. His shot in side the box is out of this world. For me he played 163 games en scored 163. Pretty much every game is a Fut Champs game from those stats. He can sometimes be overshadowed with the wingers. Especially Adama and Mane they sometimes make him look like there is no striker. So be aware some games he might not even be there. Especially tough opponents the link up play is pretty poor. But when he does get a chance, when he gets some space he makes your opponent pay for it. Big time. If you are looking for a good, consistent and nimble striker under the 100K this is the one.
Finishing inside the box
Nimble dribbling
Positioning
Link up play (when gameplay is smooth)
Can be pushed of the ball
Is not a target man (Could be nice when you're 1-0 down)
Title says it all. I have a 3 million credits team and while I'm not a meta slave, I know what works and what doesn't. I could have invested much more in the critically important striker position, yet Aguero vanilla is still a starter in my squad. Why ? Because he is a maniac, an absolute goal machine that you can blindly trust whenever you shoot in or just outside the box. Also, his passing his great, he'll set up CAMs and wingers perfectly and is agile enough to make that little first step that opens up the shot. Thus, you find yourself with a 60k-ish striker that is - let's not exaggerate - the best return on coins you will ever get in this game. Also, did I mention that his off the ball game is unreal ?
Off the ball is incredible, doesn't stop making great runs, always finds a pocket of space in the D
Shooting is the best I've seen in this game. Everything goes in, half chances become critically dangerous with this dude.
Overall very smooth technically, can pass, retain the ball in tight spaces, good composure
4 star weak foot is okay but he'll occasionally miss the lefties, which you hate to see since he scores ALL of the righties
Pace : At this state of the game, 90 pace with hunter is considered pretty unimpressive but it's only a very mild flaw. Most of the time, Aguero is not to be used to cover big chunks of space and with 92 acceleration he's good enough on the first step, which is the one you need to set him up for a shot.
Wow this guy! He is absolutely exceptional for the price he is. He continues to exceed my expectations and if you need him to score and important goal you best believe he will!!! Bought him for 50k and in my opinion hes extremely cheap for what you get. Definitely a good long term striker. If you like to get in behind just simply trigger his player run and he will be in behind. Ok he's not got the pace of Mbappe or Rashford and you wouldnt expect him to run as fast but with a hunter he can get away from most defenders except for the OP ones like varane, moments maldini, lenglet etc.
Strength
Shooting
Pace - for me I think he has the perfect pace
Passing
Cheap
Hold up play
Height - not a big issue as crosses hardly work in this game
Now yes, Aguero might be already not good enough for your team, his stats do not stand out at all, but since I took a massive break I decided to completely restart with a brand new team 4 weeks ago. My striker for the past two weekend leagues was Sargent (86), he was doing incredibly well, but with just packing Sterling from a 2 gold player pack, I knew that I had to get a new striker. I was first skeptical about Aguero, I could have bought a midfielder or IF Gabriel Jesus to chemistry with the addition Sterling made and I am glad that I didn't buy anyone else. He has his problems, but I overlooked those with his amazing shooting ability and a great amount of dribbling, all of this brought me to a conclusion that he still has it towards these times were the first TOTS has come out. Anyways, here are the stats.
Aguero playing ST at a 4-2-3-1 formation, partnered with GOLD 84 Goretzka at CAM, GOLD 88 Sterling at RM, and 84 UCL Coman was formidable, at first when I bought him, I consistently was thinking that Sargent was overall better, which is still something I debate today and am currently trying to partner the two up. Now, he looks like a proper CF/ST type. In the 30 WL games he played he banged in 39 goals and placed in 16 assists to add to that, 30 games and 55 goals involved in, with this help I managed with a 185 team to pull out with Gold 1 which is a new record for me in this FIFA 20. These are unbelievable numbers, especially for a player who stands at 5'8 so he won't get any headers, 80 PACE so he isn't blistering quick even with Hawk on he felt sluggish, and also a small 74 PHYSICALITY which really feels like 60 at times. Anyways, what I think.
Shooting: Something he is lethal at, whether you are playing against Ter Stegen, Neuer, Alisson, Van Der Saar, whoever, he manages to blast shots past them, finesse, chips, regular good old power, he has it all with him. Comparing to Sargent he really beats him in finishing, his shots are out of this world and with HAWK on it boosts it up to 95, feeling more like 99. Overall an amazing finisher, clinical, smart, everything you want. His weak foot is also good so I trust him with most shots. Long Range was an issue, even when it wasn't too far the shots were consistently wide of the goal. But overall I give him a 9/10.
Dribbling: The best thing he holds, which kind of surprised me, the only defender I had a problem with was VVD who I faced around 8 - 12 times, but, against other defenders, he can glide past them, and 4* Skills really shows that he is good with the ball on his feat. Many of the goals I scored was dribbling through a whole defence with Aguero, something that I hoped for, but was amazed on how Messi-esque his dribbling is. 10/10
Passing: 16 assists, 30 games, a striker who sometimes went into the CAM position. Not bad at all, his job wasn't to get more than 30 assists, but it was to SCORE! He did both brilliantly, I was not let down with his through balls when either Coman, Sterling, Goretzka or even in late second half / extra time Sargent. I saw a large difference with my attacking midfielders from the Sargent time to the Aguero time, when Sargent was playing, or previously Rashford, they didn't really score, this time Goretzka had a nice 19 goals to his name with Sterling getting 12 and Coman banging in 9 goals too. 8 / 10
Pace: When I purchased Aguero, I thought that I needed to change my play style, to use my midfielders more, to make space for him to unleash his shot. However, obviously, there were numerous occasions where he was through on goal and the likes of Theo Hernandez, Akanji, VVD, Ramos, and more would catch up to him and push him off the ball. Even with Hawk it didn't help, and I hope that when I get him on a Hunter he will change this lack of speed. 6/10
Defending: Does not matter but made good attacking interceptions that led to goals.
Physicality: The real problem, he will never win a fight, I mean never, for me, Semedo, Jordi Alba, TAA, and ANY CDM who managed to get shoulder to shoulder would obliterate Aguero, he would be flat on the floor so I really had to use his passing and dribbling abilities to my strengths as no physical challenge would win. 4 / 10
Set pieces: I never really got a grip with penalties this year, even though I know how to aim them now, I usually would shoot in the middle, which 80% of the time would lead to a goal, so Aguero scored pens. Free kicks were his job too unless Bale came in from the bench, he scored 2 this WL which isn't bad. No corners for him though. 6/10
I bought him 3 weeks after I started ultimate team and tbh he changed my whole team to a team that can't score a single goal to a team that scores at least 4 in a game!
