Showdown Series Is Coming!

Showdown Series is coming to Ultimate Team! We’re no stranger to this promo as it was introduced around this time last year too. Throughout Showdown Series, we’ll be receiving Showdown SBCs for some of the most exciting upcoming fixtures, with a +2 boost available to the winner, or a +1 to both if the points are shared.

Showdown Series Release Date

Showdown Series is set to come to Ultimate Team this Friday (8th March). We’re presuming it’s just a one week promo as we look towards potential FUT Birthday coming very soon.

How Do Showdown SBCs Work?

For those that are unfamiliar with how Showdown SBCs work, it’s quite a simple concept.

A Showdown SBC consists of 2 SBCs featuring players from rival teams that have an upcoming big fixture - in this case, we’re expecting to see a set of cards for Liverpool vs Manchester City this weekend.

FUT Players can choose to complete either, or both of these SBCs, however Showdown cards upgrade based on the result of the upcoming fixture.

Predictions

Not only do we have to predict the players, but also the specific games for this promo! Luckily for us there is one that’s surely a dead certainty - Liverpool vs Manchester City. Arguably the biggest game of the Premier League season and one that has potential to decide the title. We’ve chosen Conor Bradley vs Nathan Ake, but if it’s not these we just want to see anyone who hasn’t had a special item yet!

The huge Premier League clash isn’t the only massive game this week, here are some others we expect to receive a Showdown card:

  • Chelsea vs Newcastle - Premier League
  • Atletico vs Barcelona - La Liga
  • Chelsea (W) vs Arsenal (W) - Women’s Super League
  • Inter vs Napoli - Serie A
  • USA (W) vs Brazil (W) - Gold Cup Final

Which fixtures or cards do you want to see featured in Showdown Series?
